AOS Interview today in Atlanta

We arrived about an hour early, and security wouldnt let us in until 30 minutes before our interview time.

We stood around outside until 12:30, then procceded again inside and through security and up to the 5th floor.

Our appointment was for 1 and 1:30 (for my daughter), so we set our interview letters in the 'inbox' on the desk and sat down and waited for our name to be called.

We were seated 1hr 20 mins before we were called through the doors and into the cubicle. The woman who interviewed us was really super nice. (Her name was Harilyn Blair) We walked back to her cubicle and she first asked for hubby and I's ID, my passports, and my EAD card. She asked all 3 of us to stand and we took the oath. (hubby and I said 'yes' and abby said 'I do'

She asked me-

*my full name

*my birthdate

*my birth place

*my address

*hubby's full name

*hubby's birthdate

She asked for my vacc suppliment, she asked for updated affidavit of support, 2 most recent paystubs, 2005 W2's.

Then she asked for stuff to show we have a valid marriage. I handed her

*photo album

*phone bill in both names

*car insurance bills and cards

*medical insurance

*personal mail to us both

*copy of check's I wrote from joint account

She didnt even look at any of the stuff I piled in front of her. She finished looking at the pictures in the album, picked up the pile, hole punched them, and added them to my file.

She asked if I was ever arrested, a terrorist, a prostitute ( I kinda laughted and said no, she laughed and said..no one pays you to shake your money shaker?)

She then asked for our AP documents. She didnt ask hubby any questions at all.

For my daughter, all she asked for was her vacc suppliment.

She attempted to ask my daughter her name, date of birth, but she played shy and didnt want to answer. She (Harilyn) then smiled and asked if she was married, no response, then asked boyfriend? my daughter spoke up and said yes..but dont tell him, and she slapped her step fathers leg, covered her mouth and laughed.

She went and photo copied our passports, and hubby and I's ID, then came back and explained that in 2 years minus 90 days to apply to remove conditions, and in 3 years I can apply for citizenship. She said that our permenant resident cards will arrive in within a year and that most people get them within 2 weeks. She thanked us for being so orginazed and making her job easier.

She stamped our file APPROVED, stamped our passports with the I-551 stamp, removed the I-94's and that's about it.

Super easy, waiting for our name to be called took longer then the actual interview did.

I just wanted to ask you a few things if you dont mind.

When they asked for the vac supplement. Did you already send in a copy with the AOS?

So I guess we should take in a new aff of suport with us. I didnt think we would need one since its only been since Dec that we sent our AOS in.

No, I didnt send the vacc suppliment in with our original AOS package. I did include a copy of the vacc worksheet from my K-1 medical tho.

I didnt think we'd need a new affadavit either, but since my hubby had pay raise, I figured better safe then sorry.

I did send in mine and Jonathans vac supplement with our AOS. So I hope they wont ask me for a copy of it, cause I dont have one.

I think we will bring a new aff of support with us just to be on the safe side. Plus I just started working so I will have pay stubs to show them also.

I would add my earnings on the new aff of support wouldnt I?

I think if you have been here and lived with someone for over 6 months you can add their earnings in on the support form.

Big Congratulations!!! We will be off for Atlanta on Wednesday night and interview Thursday. You scared me when you said you turned in your immunization supplement. We too mailed our sealed envelope in with the AOS packet. I posted on here about that and people said it says if you already sent it, its okay and they should have it. That is the only thing I was worried about. Anyhow, congrats again. I will be the nervous wreck sitting and waiting for our names to be called.

By the way, my husband his son have 10:00 and 10:30 appointment times. When they called for the first appointment time did you ALL go in? I was wondering as it is my step-son's interview that is the first one. Thanks.
