Hello everyone:

I finally received my visa yesterday after a few trips to the embassy.

September 5th: the first trip was for my interview (as some of you may have known about the details). all required documents were fine and no questions asked about them. the problem arose as I had been in school in the US for 8 years and didn't have enough proof at my interview of my legal stay during those 8 years. So, I was given a letter with Section 221 (g) marked for proof (i.e., transcripts) that i was in status (by enrolling in and going to school) during those 8 years.

September 24th: the second trip was 18 days following my interview. this trip, other than submitting my transcripts, i hoped to know if they would grant me the visa and when to pick it up. i was told to come back the following monday to hear the result instead of being told to come pick up the visa. I called my fiance to let him know. he then emailed the embassy and got a reply in less than 24 hours saying that i could come pick up the visa on friday (the same week, which was yesterday --Sept 28th).

September 28th: I received the visa without any hassles or questions asked.

My fiance and I would like to thank you all for your help and support throughout this lengthy and difficult process. Without you guys, we would not have been able to get through this. My fiance has been on cloud nine since i got the visa. :)

April 13, 2009 - Welcome to the USA letter rec'd. PRC to be rec'd within 3 weeks.

April 16, 2009 - 2 yr GC rec'd in mail.

March 2, 2011 - Mailed in I-751 to CSC

March 4, 2011 - I-751 delivered to CSC

March 4, 2011 - NOA issued

March 12, 2011 - NOA received

April 14, 2011 - BIO Appt 5/6/11

May 6, 2011 - BIO done in 10 minutes...no re-takes this time :)

June 27, 2011 - Email rec'd "Status - Approved"

July 1, 2011 - 10 yr GC arrived

03-14-08 - AOS Transfer notice to CSC

03-21-08 - Sent AP (I-131) package off

03-26-08 - Biometrics complete! AOS and AP show up online

04-04-08 - AOS last touched

04-23-08 - EAD card production ordered!

04-24-08 - AP approved!

05-02-08 - AP recieved

07-03-08 - AOS APPROVED!! Card production ordered! Yay!!
