Oh, and chill out on the "what kind of country have I moved to?!?!?!111" #######. That kind of stuff happens in Canada too, ya know. Canada isn't some bastion of higher civilisation to the north of an unruly, barbaric slum country.....

but don't ya know everyone had to take a step down in their quality of life to come here? :innocent:

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY for getting them back! thank goodness for a happy ending!

Although I have to say I am burning with curiosity regarding what on earth would make them come and steal kittens out of your garage. Its not as though kittens are particularly hard to come by, if they really wanted one I am sure they can find a few on any weekend in the paper or always at the shelter.

What on earth did they say when 2 cops showed up at their door? what freaks.

but anyway congratulations, I am sure you and momma kitty are both so relieved.

Well Guess what playpus or whatever the hell your name is!

It was the neighbours who had them. I'm not stupid as you seem to think and that I don't know anything about cats. I used to breed siamese cats so I know exactly how they react. The mother was in the garage looking for them. She wasn't calmly sitting there. The other cat in the garage is an old FEMALE that she is fine with.

As to the other ppl who replied with prayers and offerings of help a Big Thank You!

My husband is a cop. He wasn't in uniform yesterday but he and his partner went back to the neighbours together and they retrieved our kittens.

They are now safetly home inside our warm house.

He never implied you were stupid and in fact, although he was wrong, he actually had some pretty good advice. Being the owners of 5 cats ourselves we DO know how they act. People can only offer help and advice on the information you give and you said that mommy cat was just sitting there. You never said she was wailing and looking for them...you also never specified the sex of the other cat in the garage with her, plus he also only said "if the other cat is male".

Anyway, glad they're back safe and sound and the obligatory pictures are required from now on in... :D

cat fight!! lol glad they were found.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I just can't see the mommy cat taking them out of the box & moving them. If thats the case then why is she still in the garage and her babies aren't?

Because:

1) Looking at the pic, the kittens are old enough to be left alone for a bit.

2) Cats, no matter how calm they seem, do not like having their kittens fondled/held/etc.

3) If the kittens had been stolen, the mama cat would not be sitting calmly in the garage. She'd be throwing one hell of a fit.

4) If the other stray cat is male, she may have moved them away from him, as male cats like to attack kittens.

I'd be willing to bet that she has moved the kittens somewhere where they won't be handled by humans. Keep an eye on her, but do NOT stop her from coming and going freely. I'll bet she leaves a couple of times per day and takes off in the same direction each time.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I am happy that you found the kitties....that is a blessing and platypius offered some very good advice...I do not understand the hositility towards the USA that you have. Life comes at you at all angles...and it does not matter where you live.

To Blessed to be stressed:) I realize that all things have a purpose and a time.....have faith and the Lord Almighty will provide... when the time is right, he NEVER fails!

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
