Lily, make a lot of noise until you find them. Go house to house, put up posters around the neighbourhood and nearby vets and pets stores...exhaust all resources!!

Sometimes just an old fashion fuss works, the people that took them might get scared to get caught and will return them

I have to find a home for a 7 month old male kitten/almost a cat. If you are in georgia or willing to drive to macon georgia and would like a very pretty (grey with white stomach and paws), friendly in typical cat fashion, cat. Let me know. I made up posters but my printer is out of ink. I'll have to wait to do them tomorrow at work. My hubby is off work tomorrow, works 7pm to 7am tonight, but he said he won't go to bed when he gets home, that he'll keep looking for them. I also posted in the Lost & found of our online news station. also in any forums, groups I'm in. I talked to a few of the neighbours on our street. The ones we think may have taken them live on the street behind us. My hubby is going to talk to them again tomorrow. Maybe they will have a conscience by then.

We have 6 cats inside the house. 2 stray cats live in our garage. The one we call ranch who is an old old cretchity cat and the one who had the kittens.We really don't want anymore cats. We were trying to get this cat and take her to get spayed but she got pregnant before we had the chance. I just can't see the mommy cat taking them out of the box & moving them. If thats the case then why is she still in the garage and her babies aren't?

This week someone left a tiny kitten outside my door, but since I can't have anymore cats as my landlord won't accept it, we had to take the poor thing to a local pet shop that takes them in and find homes for them.

OMG... poor little ones.

What's the mother doing? Is she looking for them? If not, that may very well have been her who moved them. If someone took them, she would be looking for them like crazy, walking around making the "mrrr" sound all the time, especially since they aren't old enough to be on their own.

I would talk to this creepy neighbour again too...

Yep, that's what I would do! Have the cops go knocking on the door of your neighbor that slammed the door in your face. Sounds like he's trying to hide something.

What I find creepy is that someone actually entered your home/garage without your permission or knowledge. If you do go to the police I think that's what you should make very clear. Honestly, I don't think most cops would care if someone takes your animals- now, breaking and entering on the other hand....

Because:

1) Looking at the pic, the kittens are old enough to be left alone for a bit.

2) Cats, no matter how calm they seem, do not like having their kittens fondled/held/etc.

3) If the kittens had been stolen, the mama cat would not be sitting calmly in the garage. She'd be throwing one hell of a fit.

4) If the other stray cat is male, she may have moved them away from him, as male cats like to attack kittens.

I'd be willing to bet that she has moved the kittens somewhere where they won't be handled by humans. Keep an eye on her, but do NOT stop her from coming and going freely. I'll bet she leaves a couple of times per day and takes off in the same direction each time.

Oh, and chill out on the "what kind of country have I moved to?!?!?!111" #######. That kind of stuff happens in Canada too, ya know. Canada isn't some bastion of higher civilisation to the north of an unruly, barbaric slum country.....

It was the neighbours who had them. I'm not stupid as you seem to think and that I don't know anything about cats. I used to breed siamese cats so I know exactly how they react. The mother was in the garage looking for them. She wasn't calmly sitting there. The other cat in the garage is an old FEMALE that she is fine with.

As to the other ppl who replied with prayers and offerings of help a Big Thank You!

My husband is a cop. He wasn't in uniform yesterday but he and his partner went back to the neighbours together and they retrieved our kittens.

They are now safetly home inside our warm house.
