Petition arrival times at NVC from California

Friends and fellow journeyers...

My situation:

I'm the Aussie male beneficiary

K1 visa NOA2 dated August 30, sent to NVC from California.

Petition has not arrived at NVC, according to NVC staff over phone, (receipt # not on their system)

My fiancee and I have planned the following:

My flight in to USA December 8 (airticket not yet booked)

Marriage and honeymoon in Hawaii booked Feb 16 -27, 2008

I hear that Sydney consulate is taking bookings now for December and January?

Can anyone confirm this or otherwise? Can I confirm it by ringing consulate on Monday?

When should I book the airticket? After I know NVC has the petition? After I get interview date? After visa is issued?

Thanks for those with wisdom on this...

How do i go about getting my police check done?

Can i get medical done too now..or do I need that dictated by Sydney consulate, after I get interview date?

You are "jumping the gun" a bit. I'd wait until your petition is at the embassy in Sydney before you make any plans at all. No guarens NVC won't be a hang up. Especially now with the deluge they have now from the fee increase.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship
