Baise-Moi (Rape me). Gratuitous sex and violence. Right up your alley, Dean!

Naked Lunch was nasty.

oh baise-moi is weirdddd.. I saw that movie with a friend.. porn and guns! can't go wrong.. I think only the rape scenes were justified artistically, the other close up sex was just pr0n..

mhhh.. but those movies aint weird.. try Ichi the Killer, Battle Royale, ohh Tetsuo the Iron Man!! that's the weirdest thing i've seen ever..

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

i wanted to see what book or film...that folks here viewed or read that was seen as either thought provoking or just strange that were controversial...

the book i read ..long ago...was:

The Painted Bird by Jerzy Kosiński...

which describes the world as seen by a young black-haired, black-eyed boy who wanders about small towns scattered around Central or Eastern Europe (presumably Poland) during World War II.

I read this book as well many years ago. I thought it the oddest book I'd ever read. Very sexual as well. I have never met anyone that has ever read it. Some people have "heard" of it they say, but I've never met anyone that's read it, so I've never been able to talk about it. I'd like to find it again and re-read it.

there's a very weird erotic book i read when i was in HS by Guillaume Apollinaire... its called Les Onze Milles Verges (which means the 11,000 dicks lol, but the american title is the Amorous Adventures of Prince Mony Vibescu ) it has everything in there.. zomg.. its surreal eroticism.. fun and interesting

I am a little tamer in the lit world. I thought "A Clockwork Orange" was pretty much ahead of its time.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensedregistered pharmacist". (because somebody gives a damn)

A Clockwork Orange WAS pretty much ahead of it's time. Talk about a concept! I think this should be a must read in HS.

the weirdest thing is that american hs's can't give kids soo many good books that are out there, just because there's violence, or drugs, or something related to the real world.. back in Meheeco, we didn't have any restrictions in HS, or couldn't watch certain movies because they had 'nudity' or cussing..

That kind of censorship kills culture.. I'm pretty sure that if HS's had some Chuck Palahniuk in their library, kids would read them

sister carla, it is a strange and violent book..based on some truth from the author who wandered around during wwII...he was a close friend of roman polanski...both polish jews...hiding from the nazis
