ah one of the obessessed people we were talking about/.

Talking about where? Must be in the other FP has a whine about 'labels' thread. Yes the one that fails to discuss how he apparently has no problem dishing out 'labels' and innuendos himself..

PS I like how you previously accuse me of constantly generalizing yet generalize out of your ### yourself.

emh.. dude, look at your signature.... i'm not the one talking constantly about the illegals, etc etc etc etc...

As a legal immigrant, of course I will be interested in immigration. As a resident of this nation I am concerned about the welfare of this nation. Concerned about issues such as the negative impact illegal immigration is having on poor Americans. Concerned about the criminals who are using the border to enter America and commit crimes in America against Americans. Lets not forget that Mexico, by far, has the highest manslaughter rate in the world.

Now as a potential citizen, way down the track, I am interested in where the nation is heading. In the prosperity and security of this nation for its people.

Obsess much?!?! Because we all know if it weren't for those d@mn illegals from Mexico, America would be the promised land! OMG! That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. Man, if the only issue America has is some illegals, we're doing good. I for one can see all the other issues we've got going on and as much as I think we need to do something about illegals, there are bigger things to worry about.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Yeah, make sure you point out the geography. We don't want those Colombians getting confused with Mexicans. It might pi$$ them off to be compared to such a terrible group of people.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I do not have a problem with Mexicans. I do have a huge problem with illegal immigrants and their disregard for this nation's sovereignty and laws; for their own financial gain. It just so happens that the majority of illegal immigrants here are from Mexico. Coupled with the fact that the Mexican government pretty much endorses illegal immigration.

like a gang killing or drive by..

Nonetheless, there seems to be a lot of 'non-intentional' homicides there. You and I both know how corrupt the Mexican government. I would not be surprised if they fudged the figures.

Homicides aside. Mexico seems to be ranked in the top 10 in a number of those crime statistics. What point is there of having strict legal immigration procedures when anyone from Mexico can simply walk in as they see fit. That is no matter what their criminal history is.

This only the good honest poor people are coming here is a bunch of BS..

There goes the Constitution...

Illegal immigration is a federal crime in most other developed nations. The US taxpayers should not have to waste hundreds of millions on court fees to basically debate, in a court room, whether someone is here illegally or not.

Simple questionnaire:

  1. Was someone born here?
  2. Are they are Citizen?
  3. Are they a Permanent Resident?
  4. Do they have a valid visa?
  5. Do they have the appropriate pending visa?
If none of the above questions yields a verifiable Yes, they should be deported. It cannot get any simpler than that.

I COMPLETELY 100% AGREE - HOW MUCH MORE SIMPLER DOES THIS ISSUE HAVE TO GET???? IT IS NOT OUR JOB AS AMERICANS TO TAKE CARE OF EVERYONE IN THE WORLD THAT MAY BE OPPRESSED.

I don't deem myself to be a selfish person and I help out as much as I can those THAT ARE LEGAL HERE AND CAN'T FIND A JOB - we have homeless people in America that were basically taxed out of their homes. Maybe I'm talking a lot of ####### and yes there are a lot of homeless people in America that are junkies but we have a ton of homeless kids and those are the little people that we need to be thinking about how are we going to help them!!!!!!!!! NOT THE BILLIONS OF ILLEGALS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

America will gladly send food to less fortunate countries but what about feeding our kids? We depend on public donations to help them out. OMG - I can go on and on - does anyone give a damn about the kids that grow OUT OF foster care????????? THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T BUT YET we have all the time and money to LOOK INTO if someone is illegal or not.

THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T BUT YET we have all the time and money to LOOK INTO if someone is illegal or not.

Most counties and cities are spending millions of dollars catering for non-English speaking illegal immigrants. Money that is being taken away from other services. Usually services that are needed the most by poor and disadvantaged Americans.

People act as if the US is a Sweden, a Finland or Australia where most of the poor are taken care of. Therefore, naturally, we should be taking on these illegal immigrants. This is most definitely not the case considering over 45,000,000+ million Americans are living in poverty. I would say even more if using the same scale as those countries do to determine whether someone is living in poverty. Point being, we need to take care of our own poor first before shipping in millions more each and every year.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensedregistered pharmacist". (because somebody gives a damn)
