The Nebraska AILA report at http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=18408 is now showing a processing date of December 7. This is usually the date that will show up next on the official USCIS site. Very disappointing, because December 7 is only 20 days after our NOA1 date - and they won't let you inquire as to what is going on until 30 days after your NOA1 date. Which means we've got to wait for the NEXT update (which is probably another month) and hope the processing date has moved at least another 10 days by then, before we can even call to ask what is going on.

We're now at 80 days since our NOA1. No touches, no updates, nothing. SO FRUSTRATING to see other people going through Nebraska being approved in under two weeks. Even MORE frustrating to see people going through Vermont being approved in NINE DAYS.

This whole system is SERIOUSLY broken. Some service centers take just over a week to process, others take four months. Some service centers (California) have email addresses you can contact them directly on to inquire as to the state of your petition. Other centers have absolutely no way of contacting them at all.

I am REALLY TIRED OF WAITING. I have been dealing with the USCIS now for over a year. I have been waiting waiting waiting. I have spent over $10,000 on immigration lawyers. I have been abused, interrogated, screamed at, lied to, falsely accused and barred by USCIS employees and agents. I have had different USCIS employees tell me completely contradictory things, each of which cost me thousands of dollars in legal fees.

There is no accountability. There is no recourse. There is NOTHING you can do.

I am SICK AND TIRED OF THE USCIS. The day I never have to deal with USCIS again can not come too soon.

I agree the service center system is broken. A huge percentage of immigration petitions come from the South and Southwest. Yet USCIS hasn't responded and provided more support for service centers like CSC and TSC.

What makes me especially mad is that I paid the same tax dollars and the same petition fees, yet my petition at CSC lingers on 6 months, and others at VSC breeze through in a month. Petition wait times should not be determined by the state you reside in. I think that is a violation of the equal protection clause.

If you feel you want to complain about USCIS, you can write the DHS CIS Ombudsman.
