I-134 cosponsor Question

I worked last whole year and I made a lot more than what 125% poverty level suggests is good to sponsor. I'm still making a back up consposor affidavit of support of my parents incase they object that I only worked for a year.

My parents file joint tax return. Now, my question is should I fill out I-134 from one of my parents or both? and where it says anual income will I write their separate income or sum them up. I'm really confused. A quick response will be appreciated our interview in on april27th.

It makes sense to me to suggest that each parent who is going to co-sponsor

should fill out their own I-134 and only write down their individual income.

This will be confirmed by the letter of employment and bank statement that

is required as supporting evidence. Tax returns are only needed if an

individual is self-employed.

In my case, I got my fiancee's dad to co-sponsor me. He and his wife fill

out a joint tax return, but I only wrote down his income on the I-134. The

bank statement and employer's letter confirm it. I guess I didn't have to

deal with the same confusion as you because his wife doesn't work!

I notice you guys are going through London, so your I-134 sounds like it'll

be more than adequate, but I understand you wanting a co-sponsor just

incase. London don't seem to be very strict about the sponsorship issue,

and really just want to make sure your fiance(e) is not going to starve

once they get to America.
