Congrats to you Countrygirl

Well, i suppose to have a driver's license test on thursday (Oct. 3) but my husband reschedule it because he thought that i wasn't ready yet. We always practicing every night at the Mall parking garage and finally last night he let me drive on the streets and he is already calm. It means that im improving already  I hope i pass the test next week!

Good Luck to you.....Relax and be confident !!!! If your husband thinks you are ready, surely you are.

CG

Thank you for the encouragement. I will keep on practicing i still have time to do it.

well my husband says im not ready yet even if i have the license already lol... i think if deep inside us we're ready, then we are... i lose confident one time when i was driving with my husband coz he was freaking me out lol. but my instructor told me that im already good enough to drive alone... so i know u can do it too spidergirl... country girl is right, just relax and be confident... i was driving the interstate quite often already (with my instructor anyways lol) and my first time was super scary especially when u have to merge to the freeway but its the only way to get us to our destination. no jeepney around here which sux. lol... good luck again!!!

Thank you Romay. Well, i know i can do it but my husband is a perfectionist and he wants everything to be perfect before i take the test. He let me drive again on the streets last night and he is not freaking out anymore but he said i'm still a shitty driver and need more practice. I have to do this because i can't go anywhere unless i have my driver's license, there's no bus route on the area where we live and taxi cabs are only available where the casinos and commercial complex are.

Well, i had my Driver's license test yesterday (Oct. 10) and i ididn't make it i failed :crying: ,i was automatically failed because i ran 25 on a 15 mph school zone :crying: i was so stupid, i saw the sign but i assume that its normal residential area speed because theres no flashing lights . So i will redo the test again on November 21. The instructor said that i've been doing well at first, my turns , breaking and lane change are okay but not until we enter the school zone, I could have been issued a $600 ticket. My husband just laugh at it.

that's ok spidergirl. makes us aware next time... you're right though, here in colorado if there's no flashing yellow sign in the school zone (which is 20mls/hr) then you have to stay the speed limit which is most likely 35mls/hr and the instructor here told me so... perhaps its different in nevada... anyways im sure next time you'll get it na... dont lose hope and confident... good luck again!!!

Thanks, i'll do it better next time. School zone is a big deal here in Nevada and its the most expensive ticket if you got caught speeding on the school zone. Now im aware of it and ill keep it in mind. One thing that the DMV instructor suggested was i should get a pedal extender because i am so small that i can't barely reach the pedals if the driver's seat is in normal position. I can adjust the seat and reach the pedals well but im sitting too close to the steering wheel which is very dangerous. So we are going to get that extender soon.

hehehehe spider girl, i'm 4'11 and too small for an american car like my big buddy buick. i have my seat adjusted to the max and with a pillow to boot. it was a big help we'll it took me awhile to get a license and the good thing about being in the country is i have a big yard to practice everyday. you'll be ok and like me i now love to drive and improved alot. i was awful when i first learned how to drive... i ran over our mailbox and hit the tree backing up. one more good thing is my car is older and though i gave it some dent at least it's not going to be that painful to see a new car getting hit left and right... you'll improve and practice makes perfect and still our husband is the worst driving instructor!

goodluck!

Luckily i haven't hit anything yet, he he he, my husband will have a heart attack if his precious car will be damaged. We have an old car too but the seat is not adjustable so i used my husband's new car, maybe i will use the old one when we get that pedal extender. Right, my husband is still the worst driving instructor, and he said he will look for another instructor for me. I still have almost one month to practice and i hope ill be better.

thats why my husband has to spend for an instructor for me coz he knows we're just gona create world war 3 if he teaches me how to drive lol... usually $40-50/hr and ul gona learn instantly after 6-8hrs worth of lesson... coz the instructor has no personal connection to u, he's got an insurance to the car, plus he's got his own break at the passenger seat... so its better that way... and definitely wont take a month for u to learn and get ur license by then lol...

Right, driving instructors have their own break, so the husband need not to worry to risk his life or get his car damaged lol.
