and so i have my license test this morning and i was late and yes blame it to my husband  lol... first thing the guy asked me to do was to make a freakin U-turn which by the way my drivinng instructor never teach me how to do it, then im using a gt mustang which when u hit the gas it will jerk u off and he made some minus points with that lol i made some errors especially im not familiar with the road (i know making some excuses blah blah blah lol)... then after all that we went back to where we started and asked me to park the car the way as before which is the parallel parking i never knew he was grading on my parking knowledge too, coz guess what? my driving instrutor didnt teach it to me and he said that im ready to take a license test! so all in all got 20 mistakes. BUT the guy said its my lucky day coz the lowest allowable mistakes is 20... so i just barely make it :dance: lol... but then doesnt mean i can drive alone now coz my husband wouldnt allow me to and im cool with it. even before i took the license test my husband already made an appointment to my driving instructor to still teach me everything for at least another week on the road...

just glad i pass the test and done with the dmv for now... even though i cant officially drive alone yet

spidergirl good luck to you!!! i know you'll be fine too... look at me 20 mistakes lol and still got it, just dont be nervous too much coz one of the reasons i have so much errors coz of my nervousness that leads me to lack of focus...

Ronmay,

Congrats , im glad you made it  ! I hope i could do it too , yeah i will do it. We are going to Tonopah on Thursday to take my test there because theres no parallel parking over there. If i can't make it i have another shot here in Las Vegas on the 10th. I'm still bad on right turns, i always end up on the wrong lane. But i still have time to practice with my husband, we practiced last night and as usual he is freaking out and cussing as if im the worst driver in the world. Well, thanks for you info, now im feeling relieved. :)

I found a school that will come and pick Claudeth up and bring her home. She gets about 30 hours of classroom and three hours of driving.

Hi Everyone,

I've been here for almost two and a half months and I've been practicing driving since i got here, I even drive alone using my valid Philippine driver's license.

I got my Social Security Number on monday so I decided that today I would go to get my driver's license for Illinois. I passed the written exam no problem

BUT ...

I rolled thru a stop sign without making a complete stop during my driving portion of the exam and they failed me... :crying:

I'll be practicing with my sister-in-law on Wednesday and will take the driving portion again that evening .. wish me luck

On my own experience, my husband taught me how to drive. We even practiced in a vacant school parking area going rounds and rounds before we were stopped by a passing police car, checked my permit and let us go. I was terrible driving at night too( I passed the written exam but failed the vision test hehehe) aside from the fact that my hubby makes me nervous all the time, complaining and all that..sometimes I make excuses not to drive hehehe whenever he wants me to take the driver's seat.

So when it's my time to go to DMV for driving test, I have my husband with me instructing me what to do and to remain calm. I was driving his Nissan Pathfinder at that time so he knows I have a hard time when i'm backing up. But anyway, I passsed those normal checks of right turn sign, emergency, brakes etc.. She was nice to me while I'm driving striking conversations with me to make me at ease on my driving..I passed the driving exam, made some mistakes (-13) but I was ok.

Even if I have my DL for quite some time now, I still feel nervous when I merged on the freeway here in San Diego. With my hubby on the passenger seat, you can imagine his constant nagging to "speed up" blah blah blah..I guess I need more time till I get used to it.
