But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Doodle,

Not sure how much you are looking to lose. I am doing the low fat, low carb thing. All I can say is it works. Since June 3rd, I have lost 55lbs. My neighbor lost 125lbs doing it and has kept it off for a year. I saw him last Memorial Day, and I did not even recognize him. His daughter is doing it too, and I am not sure how much she lost, but it is alot, and she has not gained it back either. When I first started losing weight 2 years ago, I just decided to cut out all the junk and go with basics. I was able to lose 70lbs doing this. I hit a stall, and remained there for a year, and started the low fat, low carb, and have had really good success doing it. Right now, I have lost a total of 125lbs, and I am still going. People that have not seen me in a while don't know who I am when I speak to them. Like I said, I'm not sure how much you want to lose, but this has worked for me.

Truthfully, looking at the diet, it makes you wonder how 13 days can straighten out a metabolism that has been out of whack for a while. If you try it and it works, let us know.

Best of luck with it,

Sue

I'm trying to lose the weight from pregnancy and it is tough! I am working now so some of it has come off naturally but I need to keep going. I wouldn't try this diet though. I don't like plans that seem so strict. I am also the type where if I don't see results quickly then I lose hope. I don't know what to try.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably won't work. A lot of high protein, high fat foods in this diet. The cod fish looked good though!

Well the Atkins diet works for some people. And it's high in fat and high in protein. The truth is, people's metabolisms are different, a diet that works for one might not work for another. If you want to lose weight you have to find a diet that works for you. And exercise.

A diet like that might work for someone who has never diet or haven't diet in a long time and is overweight. They might lose some serious weight in the first 2 weeks, mostly you'll be losing water, which will give you the impression that you actually lost the fat.

That Danish Diet is incredibly low in calories, so I'd be careful if you do choose to undertake it. I'd also make sure you don't have to leave the house for the first couple of days as the low calorific intake is bound to make you feel light-headed and faint.

As to the claims about it changing your metabolism? Ah, I dunno. The Atkins diet claimed to cure diabetes, I can't remember if that was ever proven or not. I just say be careful when undertaking a diet of this severity, think it over because sometimes you could do more damage than good. ;)
