Hey Bassi and Zainab and ZeeNusah. i saw your post and wanted to tell you we also went through a long wait to get packet 3. have you contacted the embassy at all to find out about your case? try to email them and find something out if you havent. my fiance made several calls and i also sent several emails to the US citizenship services at the embassy. we insisted that the wait was too long, and possibly packet 3 got lost in the mail, and we pleaded that my fiance to be allowed to pick up packet 3 directly from the embassy. after two months of that they agreed and said he could come to the embassy on any wednesday at 7:30 am with a copy of the the email reply to get him in. we were so happy, he went the next wednesday and received packet 4, but sadly it seems they are assigning interview dates pretty far out. he was given a date in february... we are fighting now to get it changed with the help of my senator's office, but i guess what i am suggesting to you is maybe if you start to pressure them a bit, you will be able to get things moving quicker. i agree the waiting is the hardest part. but i wish you all the best!

February?! Oh My God! :crying:

Yesterday I emailed the consulate in accra with a question and put ACS (American Citizen Services) in the subject line. They responded immediately. Maybe if you do that, they will look at it immediately and respond to you. Tell them you want to pick up packet three for your husbands visa application and the NVC told you to contact them directly since they have the case already.

Thanks!

These people are going to be sick of me :bonk: .

I also sent my info to my senator's office so I think one way or another I should get a reply.

honestly, i think the K-3 is ok, because from start to finish it took nana and i 9 months, which i think is pretty good....i havent seen anything else from ghana that has been faster than that....even the k-1 processs. you might get a NOA2 faster, but it is the interview date that matters....

Wow Radical Lover, Congrats to you and your husband for getting through this visa process going thru the ghana embassy in exactly 9 months, but I definitely think your case was one of the few exceptions because most others when they have filed a k-3, cr-1 thru ghana, have taken much longer than that!!! I am glad that your case were on of the few that did not have to share the headache of the long wait from the embassy in Ghana!!!!

I surely do hope that you both do get a response from them...I remember calling them and emailing them a few times a week....Don't give up as frustrating as it can be!!!!

Cool! That's all you've been wanting to know anyway.

Now let's see how long it takes to get to him. I'm watching your process closely since it's so close to mine. Hope you don't mind being under the microscope. :innocent:

Oops! Just asked this on another topic!

Congrats on the date!

:( Sucks that it's so far out. I wonder what's up with the consulate there. Oh well, I'll wait for your update later.
