Expired Chinese Passport

Hey...Since no chinese embassy here in the states picks up a phone

thought would ask here..Wife is sure I'm not sure.........................

Wifeys chinese passport expired 23 of this month, visa is good

until 2008..Does anyone know of a time limit to re-new a

chinese passport?..She is here in the states and the nearest

embassy is DC..Anyone ran across a problem like this?

Cannot get anyone on a phone at any embassy in the states.

Almost two weeks every day have tried..

I would call any visa service specializing in obtaining visitor or business visas for China. They'll probably answer the phone and know the answer to your question.

For clarity there is only one Chinese Embassy in the US. The rest are Consulates. Either can handle a passport renewal but as I recall, they changed their policy last year and will only do so in person. The visa services can clarify that for you to.

I like www.visa-chinese.com in Houston but any of them should be able to answer your question. A Chinese travel agent like www.paciasia.com would in SF would know too.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
