Personal Items into the Embassy

Hey,

I have my interview tomorrow morning at 10am.

I'm just wondering what personal items I can take into the Embassy with me once I clear security.

Do they take my whole bag off me, or just the electronic stuff in it? (Cell phone, iPod, digital camera)

My bag will have my folder-o-stuff in it, a book, and a bottle of pepsi or something.

K-1 Visa Process.

Well i know cell phones and cameras are OFF LIMITS. I guess you can say pretty much any electrical devices are not allowed. At the Amman embassy, they will put your belongings into a bag and after you're done they will give it back to you.

They'll only take the electronic items off you, not the papers or reading material. Better finish off any Pepsi before you get inside though as I seem to recall you can't bring liquids in either. There's a canteen inside if you need to get something to drink. It's just like airport security, so you have to get all the change out of your pocket and take off your belt before going through a metal detector. When we went, some guy in front of us had steel-tipped shoes on and had to take them off...who wears steel-tipped shoes to the Embassy?
