The "diet" thing has been going well, considering. I rode 21.44 miles yesterday, so what I eat really isn't that important. We did McDonald's. (First time I've been there in months). Mags is going with me again today on our ride (she sat out yesterday....knee problems). Don't know how many miles it'll be this time, but I'd like to hit 20+ again. I'm working at the Hilly Hundred next weekend, and plan on riding the Sunday route while I'm there. It's 40 miles for the short course, with 1831 feet of climbing. I wanna be able to ride it. So, I'm gonna ride as many miles as I can today, this Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Smoking....it's going "ok". I can't say great. I had a couple of sneaky smokes yesterday. I was rather "brittle" last night; Jordan was being as annoying as possible, and I was a bit scary, I guess. To try to not be so scary, I had a couple. Tasted like #######, too.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Better luck next time, L...you're doing an amazing job juggling both diet and cigs! I, on the other hand, have eaten anything not nailed down in the kitchen

5 days is AWESOME.....you're through the worst of it now.

Glad the Why quit site helped....scared the ####### out of me too.....

The last person I sent it to (a co-worker) quit smoking too after like 30 some years and never went back...lol.....works wonders!

Good job

Have you smelled a smoker now that you've quit???? Disgusting!

Diet/Exercise thing is still good so far. Rode 17.14 miles this morning, and had only 2 eggs and 2 pieces of toast for breakfast. Had a Clif Bar at the half-way point.

No comment on the smoking...

(3 cigs in 2 days isn't THAT bad!)

If any of y'all are interested, I've created a little online log of my bike rides. I doubt that it's that exciting, but ya know....

Well, I've weighed myself. Once last week and once today. I ain't telling you the numbers. Doctor visit a couple of months ago put me at weight "A". Weight "B" - when I weighed myself last week - put me at weight "A" - 15 pounds. Today put me at Weight "B" - 7 pounds. Or rather, Weight "A" - 22 pounds.

Most noticable, however, is that my clothes fit again. By my reckonin' I have 68 more pounds to go. That's a lot. lol
