I worked out today @ the gym for like 3 hours...I am BEAT.

The not smoking thing is getting a skosh easier....plus I'm 'puffing' on a cinnamon stick as a replacement

Wow Larry, 20+ miles, very impressive

What Larry doesn't say is that he dragged his wife with him (me) with her dodgy knee. He also dragged my son along too, who managed to fall off his bike down into a ditch, he broke his headlight, managed to turn his saddle 190 degrees and make his chain fall off. All whilst claiming that a "really large bottle" got in his way. Five minutes later the story had changed so many times I almost expected him to say the aliens did it.

Yes I am! It's one of the hardest things I've ever done. I still am crying daily...it makes no sense really cos cigs are so bad for you...but I've kinda lost a friend, lol....not to mention I'm frustrated that I can't smoke.

I said to my BFF the other day 'I am so proud of myself, but the problem is, I feel I deserve a ciggy for all my hard work' LOL

Larry...how are the cravings for you???? And are you on day 4 as well, or you ahead of me?

So it's officially 5 daysssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

quitsmoking.jpg

I've not smoked 100 cigs in 5 days, 26 minutes, 47 seconds and I've saved almost 18 bucks, hahahahaha. Thanks quitmeter.com, lolz

I really appreciate all the support that you guys have given me over the past 5 days....you have all helped me stay on the wagon! I have taken many things from things that everyone has said here, and it's kept me determined.

I might make another thread where all non smokers can give their tips generally to anyone contemplating quitting,....cos I really don't want this to be about ME for the next God knows how many days, lol. I have gone on about it quite a bit, but it's only cos I'm so damned proud. It has been so hard in the past, and I've not usually made it this long....and I feel quite determined in my mindset to stay quit. Thanks in part to whyquit.com...omG that site scared the ####### outta me...

And this pic too

i_anti_smoking.jpg

But this has always scared the ####### outta me....I'd always give the 'oh I can't quit now because...' excuse...and now I just got off my azz and did it. Yes, there's a long road ahead...but I'm stayin positive. I'm biggin up the past 5 days to hold onto them as something I REALLYREALLYREALLY don't want to have to repeat in future. So this mindset helps me stay on the wagon too.

Anyways, YOU ALL ROCK!!!!...thanks again for all your wonderful encouragement...and WOOT go me and everyone else here who has managed to kick that nasty fricken habit. One day at a time!

Some smoking humor:
