Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Well L, so far so good. No smokes today, and I think I came *close* to my calorie count for the day. Maybe. lol I only want to kill people every other hour or so.

I've blown the diet since yesterday. Currently, Im eating any choccie I can get my hands on :(

Well L, so far so good. No smokes today, and I think I came *close* to my calorie count for the day. Maybe. lol I only want to kill people every other hour or so.

Well, we had Chinese tonight for dinner, so I think the diet went out of the window for Larry too. However, we are going on an 18 mile bike ride tomorrow, that'll shift some poundage! :lol:

Lisa, I wish you much success in your quitting! I just thought to tell you that cinnamon candy worked for me too, especially the really hot ones, like the super hot tamales candy and believe it or not, the WalMart brand of cinnamon discs... they tend to curb my cravings and I keep them everywhere, home, work, bed side, purse... lol... It was really hard for the first few days, even with the patch it was horrible but it's been about 2 months now and I'm doing great, I don't think about it until I see someone else smoking... or I'm really stressed out, those are the times that I change the scenery, take a walk, get some coffee, go chat with office buddies! I'm praying for you and you will do fine! Also, it's ok to cheat on the "diet" for the first couple of weeks... it's much easier to exercise when you can breathe and after a couple of weeks, you will find yourself breathing better and feeling better. Walking long distances and exercise is much easier! So, go ahead and cheat a little, you'll get past that... especially when you're clothes start getting too tight... lol!

I have finally met my love and my best friend... I can't thank God enough for this gift! After spending 17 days in Ghana with my love, I am even more consumed by him and all that he is.

Glad i never got into the smoking habit and the funny thing most of my family members do smoke but i never was interested in it lol.

My Mum smoked and I hated it, absolutely hated it. Normally the children of smokers are more likely to take it up themselves but it just managed to just turn me against it even more.

The no cigs thing should start getting easier now but you will still experience some flareups so stay strong. This is a very difficult thing to do so you have to be proud of yourself :thumbs:

Well, I don't think the Chinese last night really counts.... I rode 22.96 miles this morning, which would burn somewhere around 2800-3000 calories. I plan on doing 30 tomorrow (weather permitting) and another 20 or so on Tuesday.

Just don't ask for any pics of me in Lycra bike shorts.....

Oh wow. I didn't realize you were quitting too, Platy. Congratulations!!! (And I'm impressed with the bike riding too.)

Wow, thats great. I am so lazy, been meaning to ride to work and don't. I did walk the golf course yesterday and even carried my bag
