I sent my 751 paperwork this month, they got it on Sep 10th.. I got the certified mail receipt thingie.. how long does it take for them to cash the check and/or start processing my app? I thought they took like 15 days

there is a huge delay in the receipt processing department.

pedroh, I think some additional delays are caused by I751s getting transferred to CSC service center. Do I remember correctly that you're TSC? If so, your I751 will most likely get transferred to CSC.

we filed in July and never got the NOA. my wife went to the boston office to get a 1 year extension stamp in her passport.

Pedro, you don't know how freakin lucky you are. You're going to Disneyland! Or at least being transferred to CSC, the USCIS equivalent. You'll be out of there in a couple of months, probably. If you had filed between January 1 and July 1, you'd still be sweating it out in a janitorial closet in a smelly unairconditioned TSC basement men's room with the rest of us losers. Have fun on the Space Mountain ride! And don't forget those of us who are enslaved to the fried pork rinds and Dr. Pepper crowd who "work" at TSC.

I agree with James (not on the losers part... ), you're probably getting transferred to CSC!

We mailed ours on 09/01, TSC received it on 09/05 and our check got cashed just yesterday, showing a WAC receipt#...so that's why it took so long!

Don't worry, I'm sure yours will be cashed in the next few days, too!

They took about a month to cash our check and send out the NOA1 - including transferring to CSC.

Aye, be patient, pedroh, you'll be out of there with your card in relatively little time -- take a look at the master I-751 tracking list in this forum and check out the timelines of TSC transferees.

You were never in it! To be a TSC Loser, you had to file in the first six months of the year -- that is, before TSC started transferring I-751s to CSC.

It took three weeks for them to cash our check and send us the actual I-797 NOA, but the receipt date actually says the day they received it (the day after I mailed it)

Hmmm...ours was "delivered" on Sept 11, but they haven't cashed the check yet. Do they only pick up from the PO Box once a week or so?
