Timeline

Has anyone on this visa journey forum ever began trying to get there loved one here and either gave up and moved to the others country or maybe your visa was denied and you moved to there country?? just curious. i am thinking of moving to germany to be with dirk .. but i have children so this is hard for them too. just curious as to other stories along this line.

How far are you into this journey? If your case has been approved and awaiting interview, i would hang in there. I think your kids might have a hard time adjusting to a new country. I wish you the best of luck.

There are certainly people that do this. If the issue is the USCIS then try to stick it out. It will take some time but it will be over soon and then you can be happy again. One option is for you to visit them while it is processing if your life allows it. If not then phone calls, internet video and vacations are the best route to keep the smiles on your face while waiting :).

There has been several for one reason or another given up and moved to their SO's country. Not sure how you would do a search on that, maybe on deny or something for one aspect to look at.
