Hi Everyone,

Dan & I are about to leave for the AOS interview in Atlanta at 8:00 in the morning (Tuesday). I'm pretty sure we have everything we need. We're not really scared that we won't be approved, but we're just a little nervous about the interviewing itself.

Will let everyone know Tuesday night how it goes.

6/19/2002- Met Online

11/10/2002- Met in person for the first time at Buffalo International Airport we spend a blissful but all too short week together.

2/23/03- David proposes on the beach in Melbourne Florida at sunrise during his second visit.

9/26/03- After much talk with USCIS we decide to go ahead and get married during David's third visit, with David planning on returning to Ireland the following week.

9/30/03- Phone USCIS to ask questions on filling out paper work and USCIS officer informs us that if David is already here he doesn't need to leave. After numerous calls to the Irish Embassy and two more calls to USCIS to confirm, we decide he will stay.

12/02/03- Petition for AOS recieved

10/8/04- EAD FINALLY arrives

11/10/2004- Our Son Colin Michael Kieran born two years to the minute after our first face to face meeting!

3/09/06- AOS approved! David is a permanent resident with stamp in passport.

4/4/06- Green card arrives. We are now free to travel back to Ireland so David can see his family for the first time in more than two years.

Honestly=

My wife and I got paranoid about the interview, albeit a bit nervous. Once you get in there it'll be fine. It's very brief....... and when you're done, and the status is granted, you'll wonder why you even worried in the first place!!! Good Luck!!!

9-20-05 -(Married)

12-9-05 -AOS Packet mailed (I-485, I-130, I-765, and I-131)

12-11-05 - AOS packet received

1-3-06 - Biometrics appt. for I-485 and I-765

1-3-06 - My wife's name mispelled on i-485 still (tried to change via phone and still pending... name is spelled correctly on the I-765)

3-23-06 AOS interview scheduled (hopefully we can get the spelling of her last name correct on the I-485 before the interview.... feb 7th is a scheduled appointment to correct the spelling of her name with a local INS officer... anyone have any suggestions here???)

3-23-06... Interview went smoothly, and off to our favorite Japanese restaurant to celebrate the "permanent residence" status which was rightfully granted

5-6-06 Beautiful Church wedding in the Philippines.

10-9-08 Temporary Status of Residents card removed... Janie is a Permanent Resident now

Present = Living out our life together (had a healthy newborn son), and thankful that the aforementioned adustments have been granted.
