hey WISH. my case is at New Delhi. my husband dropped off packet 3 last week, and now we are just waiting for the interview.

also still struggling with I-134. being a student I don't make enough and no one seems to know whether my co-sponsors can be both my mom and dad or has to be just one of them, cause jointly they meet the income guidelines and individually they don't. i even went to see this hi-fi lawyer in town and even he wasn't sure...

anyhow...i pray everything goes smoothly. good luck to you too.

oh i just wanted to share that india has opened DCF again. know family friend who got married after me... and her spouse is already here.......

I think you can have multiple co-sponsors besides, if your mom and dad live in the same house. I think you can have them fill I134 seperately if they file taxes independantly. If you dad files as a head of household with your mom as dependant then his taxes are filed with combined income as total household income. In that case he can just fill out I134 and list total household income in it.

Good luck, Everything will be fine don't worry.

thanks for the encouraging words WISH. my parents filed jointly but I am just going to have them do 2 individual I-134s but list the same amount for their taxes, and assets. I am hoping everything goes good... the tax part is sticky for me...but their bank balance is a lot and I am hoping they take that in account if the income tax doesn't live up to their requirements. anyhow, i wish u a speedy interview date.

Neel, Zolanden and everybody else, you are all in my prayers too, wish you all speedy POE. I am waiting for my docs to be recieved by the Embassy. I don't know how long it takes. It doesn't help there being a Bandh (General Strike) in Chennai on Monday. Tuesday is Gandhi's Birthday so Embassy is closed. So I am hoping atleast on wednesday they will have my docs.

I am both excited and very very nervous. Please God See us through this.

Wish... hope everything goes well for you. I was hoping for an OCTOBER interview for my husband...IT DIDN'T HAPPEN :crying:

He even personally went and submitted the DS-230 mid september...i was told by many people here that with new delhi..if you go personally submit the packet 3..u get the interview the following month........ I AM SOOO SAD AS TO WHY THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN WITH US. K-3 was a serious waste for me.. if i had a time machine..i would go back in time and not file the I-129F, and just stick with CR. most of the people who go through CSC and new delhi..get their CR interviews in 9 months. its been 8 months for me waiting for this stinkin K-3 #######.
