Same here...I too am feeling VERY frustrated about my EAD application :crying: ...my EAD's NOA1 was 6/27. I already hit the 90 day mark and will phone them tomorrow...I hope we get some GOOD NEWS in the next few days!!!

Yeah, sorry to hear about that, so annoying. I looked up our Congresswoman and have decided to see if she can help. Other VJ's have done the same and it seemed to have helped. Don't know, just want to get some insight on the when my husban will get approved....hopefully we'll both get approved soon

Yeah, we'll probably be going that direction should the infopass be unsuccessful. But I'm still hopeful that we'll get some good news very soon. ;)\

MariaDane, Thanks for the info. Very helpful...

Glad i could help :)

I see your EAD applications are at CSC. Mine was too.....took an InfoPass appt, my congressman getting involved and a service request from USCIS to finally get my EAD approved. I hope you guys don't have the same trouble i had.

I called them but I didn't get to talk to anyone. I made several attempts and was on the phone for almost an hour! I also tried making an infopass but the website says there aren't any available appointments for the office in my area. Can't do anything really but to try again... :(

Sounds like you got as far as the "Automated Response" and gave up.....after you enter your MSC# you need to stay on the phone and at the end of the message about your EAD keep listening etc , press #3 to go to the next step.....listen to the choices......The one you want is ....if you think your application is outside processing time, you will be transfered to a customer servicer rep.

Good Luck

Hi Everyone,

So yesterday I phone USCIS and two customer service reps preety much did not transfer me to speak to an IO stating that I was still within the normal processing time even though I'm passed the 90 day mark. I did try and explain that it's an EAD card and that I don't have to wait another 30 days etc etc...In the end I got no where and ended the conversation. Again I'm frustrated becuase prior to the 90 day mark the customer service reps stated call when 90 days are up and we'll do a service inquiry and now that the 90 days are here, well you know the story. Sorry folks but extremely frustrated. My husband and I have an infopass appointment next friday and hopefully they'll be able to do a service inquiry. And I'm writing a letter to my Congresswoman so hopefully she'll be able to help. Not sure but I'm starting to lose hope of ever getting an EAD, we have our AOS interview at the end of Oct and will be really interesting if we get a greencard before an EAD arrives. Will have to wait and see I guess.

Good Luck everyone,

td :crying:

I phoned them again and was finally able to speak to someone...HOWEVER!!!...The first rep told me to wait 11 weeks from the date my case got transferred! Tried explaining but got nowhere so I ended the call without thinking that it has already been past 11 weeks since my transfer. So I called again and a diff. rep this time tells me that CSC is now only getting to EAD applications that were filed June 30th so I need to wait approx. 43 DAYS before they get to mine which was transferred July 13. I was too disheartened to even get upset...(well at least the rep I spoke with was nice). And I've been trying to make an infopass but I cant since the website says there are still no available information appointments at my local office!!! I thought making an infopass wld be quick, does this really happen? :crying::wacko:

Hi Sahara,

Thanks for updating us on the info you got from the USCIS office, I truly dislike speaking to them. My conversation was miserable. Anyway at least she said that their processing June applications, so maybe we might hear something this month. Alright, I'll let you know how the infopass appointment goes tomorrow

Have you phoned them?

Both thimes Ive phoned about stuff, they transfer me to an Immigration Officer who knows stuff, opposed to the customer service peeps.

Yes, I have phone a couple of times and I was transferred to an Immigration Officer who said that need to wait until the 90 day mark. It's just frustrating to see people from other Service Centers getting there EAD's completed with similiar time lines. I don't know, my husband is frustrated and bored becuase he can't work and I'm stressed becuase I can't do anything about it. Sorry needing to rant a little, good luck to you as well :crying:

You should never compare EAD processing to Service Center times. The Service Center approved the visa petition. District Offices process Adjustment of Status. Neither Service Centers or District Offices process EAD's. All EAD's are issued out of the National Benefit Center (NBC) in Missouri.

The only thing District Office related which can hold up your EAD is when the District Office does your biometrics. In the case of very busy District Offices, a sub-office will usually collect the biometrics to speed up the interims.

RJ...Not all are issued out of the National Benefit Center, my EAD was transfered to CSC, processed and issued from there. When i received it in the mail, it came directly from Laguna Niguel.

Quite a few of us have had our EAD's transfered to CSC for some weird reason, seemingly for faster processing, hah...mine took 116 days to process and approve.....only after an InfoPass appt, a congressional inquiry and a service inquiry from USCIS, due to an IO at my InfoPass appt sending wrong info to CSC, even though i gave her the right info to begin with. :bonk:

K-3 EADs are often sent to CSC for adjudication.

Ah. Well at least there's some sort of method to the madness then.

Are they producing the cards even?

I don't really know, the file # is still MSC as are AOS files that get transferred to CSC. Does it matter who "produces" them? JessiPooh has a number of threads on the K3-->EAD-->CSC if interested.

Well, when you check the status online does it say which month they are working on? If it is over the processing time, i guess i would suggest to make an infopass, if you havent met their processing times yet, i guess that I would give it a little more time then. Im really sorry for the trouble you're going through. I hope you get the EAD very soon!!!!

I'll admit I had not heard of this. Was the envelope marked from Laguna Niguel?

And if so....how many VJ members is 'quite a few'?

Frankly I can't understand this happening. Especially card manufacture.

Yep, the envelope was marked with the 'Laguna Niguel' address in Cali and the letter that came with it had CSC's address on it.

Both JessiPooh and I had alot of problem's getting our EAD's approved at CSC, there was an error with our biometrics getting sent to CSC late, they tried saying that we both had our bios done July 12th, which was when they received them, both of us had to file congressionals and do infopass appts.

The whole thing was a mess!

I know how anxious you are waiting for the EAD. Well, yours is still better. I've been waiting since May and I've called them and all they said was to wait for answer in about 30-45 days!

It's just unbelievable.....

Maybe you want to try contacting your Congressman? I did, however, all they said was the USCIS is still processing your request. Duh!

So now, I'm just waiting for my AOS instead. :D

Sorry to hear that angelique. The service rep i spoke with said CSC is already processing June EAD applications, so HOPEFULLY you will get yours very soon. We'll be contacting our Congressman probably within the week and hopefully something good will come out of it. Trying to get an infopass appt. at my local office is turning out to be Mission Impossible.:lol:
