Well, I moved here to PR to be with him, but we'd move back to Brazil, as it's in our retirement plans.

I'm sure that if he had to have moved to the UK my hubby would have. Don't know how happy he would have been about it, though!

Yes, I would have moved to the UK. I don't know if I could have stayed where she lived, though....

There would have been a lot of logistics to work out, but I would have done it if it came to that. How could I not?

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I might be going in about 6-weeks. USCIS is such a nightmare right now. The thought of another 6 months from my SO is unbearable......and feel like most people (other than MOST VJer's) are less than sympathetic to our situation, especially OUR government.

So, I might be going....but not before making a REALLY BIG STINK about it.

If I have to go, I'll go.......it's not any easy thing to do. Leave my family, my job, my house, my car, my dog and all my other worldly possessions behind and/or sell them. Really, I never thought it would come to this.

The fact of the matter is that YOUR GOVERNMENT DOES NOT 'REALLY' CARE ABOUT YOU.

It would be difficult. I lived in Brazil - but I knew that it wasn't permanent - no more than a year. I've SERIOUSLY thought about moving/staying/living there so many times, yet we decided that it was better for us to live here. Now my husband is very happy with his situation, and although he loves Brazil, he says this is his new home.

However, if we had to, we'd move back to Manaus (his city), and if that didn't work out we could go anywhere in Brazil - it IS a HUGE country.

I'd miss my family, friends, job, luxuries, etc....but I'd be with him - and that is what matters the most to me.

I do NOT have children so I completely understand why so many people say NO and that it'd be difficult because of them. Sounds like VJ has a lot of good parents  .

100% without a doubt. I lived with my fiancée already for an entire year in Russian Federation. It gave me far more information and insight into my fiancée that most get. The opportunity to live as a REAL family and not like a tourist made a big difference. I consider if you have the ability you should. If my fiancée did not want to come here. I would, without a doubt, go back there and stay for always. I want to be with my girl first and foremost. Where we settle is a secondary consideration. :)

I voted on behalf of JVK, since I'm the internet nerd of the pair :innocent:

He would move to Argentina, no doubt. He loves it here, and already moves around the city like a pro. We discussed this possibility during the process, and he even applied for a position here. But it would be very tough, he doesn't speak spanish (which I'm sure he *will* learn eventually :P), and I don't have family here, while he does in the US.

We are considering retiring here...and visit as much as possible.

Saludos,

Caro
