Oh, this reminded me. When I was at my K-1 interview they told me I could wait and send them my passport when I was ready to move instead of leaving it with them that day. That way the clock wouldn't start ticking until then. Worst case scenario you could always do that.

That is very good to know for our particular circumstances. Thanks for sharing that tidbit of info.

I did, in the middle of the night.

Dated from 10 am this morning, I got a reply saying they have cancelled [sic] the Nov 7th appointment and will schedule me for another date either in Dec 2007 or Jan 2008.

I explained that I can't activate my visa until May 1st, so unless they can extend the 6 month expiry, it's got to be Dec or later. I wonder if they had to pluck me out of the queue and stick me back in somewhere else? They can't have just put me at the bottom again, or my interview would be much later than Dec or Jan.

I am impressed with MTL at the moment. Maybe they just got so eager to clear the backlog they got carried away?

Now make sure you keep and print that e-mail just in case they would come up with a denial because " you didn't show up on Nov 7th" :jest:

Ya, Montreal's started being crazy recently

30 days to get an interview date?!

Looks like they are catching up with their backlog. But where's kimmbo's husband's P4? :(

2007-04-16: I-485 and I-765 sent to Chicago (My AOS/EAD checklist)

2007-04-17: Received at Chicago

2007-04-23: NOA1 date (both)

2007-05-10: Biometrics appointment (both - Biometrics review)

2007-06-05: AOS interview letter date

2007-06-13: AOS interview letter received in mail

2007-07-03: EAD card production ordered

2007-07-07: EAD card received! (yay!)

2007-08-23: AOS interview (Documents / Interview review)

2007-08-23: Green card production ordered!!!

2007-08-24: Welcome notice mailed!

2007-08-27: Green card production ordered again... ?

2007-08-28: Welcome notice received!

2007-09-01: Green card received!

Done with USCIS until May 23, 2009!
