This post is over a year and a half old. Come on, people.

it just so happens that this issue is stilll relevant to some people and it gives all of us answers or opinions that might help in any way.

I agree, So many times you have the veterans of VJ posting :guides: and that includes doing research and using the search engine for old applicable topics.

Now you have new-comers using the search engine and they get reprimanded for that as well.

:help: "you can't win for losing" :bonk:

I don't tell people to read the guides, I answer their questions.

Bumping an old post is far less productive than posting your own question in a new post.

and if i or anybody else post or start a similar topic, then the older members will tell us "do a search". and i do search the forum first before i ask questions. but i still appreciate your response/opinions. everybody here just wants to help everybody.

I was speaking in general..

I don't know you, nor do I follow your posting comments!! I never meant or said you specifically. I just happened in this area and commented on what I have noticed.

People are told to search old post for information, and in the search, they find something that interest them. They are then told to start another thread to continue a conversation that someone will post a link saying to read. IMO they have shown you the research and now you specifically know what there concern is regarding.

This is just my personal observation.
