April and May Filers - NOA2 to NVC

I'm happy to share my NVC good news. I received NVC letter dated 10/09/2007 today saying they recently received an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of my OH and the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa issuing post where visa interview will take place.

Now I just have to find out on Monday (10/15) from NVC as to what exact date the petition was shipped out to Consulate. So I can count 10 - 14 days b4 sending beneficiary to collect packet 4. Beneficiary will have a copy of approved NOA-2 and NVC letter on hand so embassy security will allow access into the building. Thank God this process is coming to an end shortly and finally we can be together again. To God Be the Glory. Good luck those still waiting for NVC to acknowledge their petitions. You all should start hearing something this coming week!! :dancing::dance::dance::dance:

03/15/2008 - NOA's for : I-485, I-131 & I-765

03/16/2008 - Case online.

03/22/2008 - Biometrics assigned date: 04/01/2008, Bio completed early .

03/24/2008 - AOS Touched.

03/27/2008 - RFE Letter : Dated.

03/31/2008 - RFE snail mail rec'd date ( EZ-864 / Missing birth certificate).

04/01/2008 - Mailed RFE response.

04/03/2008 - RFE document delivered to Lees Summit, MO @ 4:03 P.M:

04/07/2008 - AOS Touched, Current status: Response to rfe received, and case processing has resumed.

04/08/2008 - AOS Touched.

05/27/2008 - AOS Touched, received USCIS email indicated case transfered to CSC.

05/29/2008 - AOS Touched.

05/31/2008 - USCIS snail mail stating I-485 has been transferred to CSC to speedup processing.

06/03/2008 - Received email from CSC confirming reception of transferred I-485.

06/03,04,06 - Touched!

08/28/2008 - Green card rec'd in mail.

06/11/2008 - I-131 Approval email received.

06/13/2008 - Received I-765 card ordered email notification.

I was approved on Sept 7 re: I-129F, haven't heard from NVC. I'm afraid to call them cause I heard they're not nice! I guess I just wait a little bit more :)

For those of you who are past 4 weeks, you should DEFINITELY call NVC because I just got my hard copy of NOA2 today and it says that NVC should contact you within 2-4 weeks of your approval, and if you don't hear within 4 weeks to call them. SO CALL!!! Who cares if they are mean bears! haha

Also, does everyone's hard copy of NOA2 say "We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center" ???? I'm sure it is a standard letter for everyone, but that is kind of misleading because it obviously has not already been sent. Hmmmm ????

Has anyone called NVC lately to ask for their petitions' status? I heard different answers: 4 weeks and 90 days waiting? Which one is true? :wacko:
