The best way is to wait for the alloted time they give in the NOA2, wait for four to six weeks before calling the NVC I think. If after thos given period if nothing happens its time to call them. We planned calling them next week for the status of our case but today we receive a letter already. SO I think better be patient of waiting first. Thats my opinion.

I know I know...it´s just all weird. They say they are waiting for crates to be filled to send them off but then people who were approved after us already have their NVC number so that doesnt make any sense why our petition wouldn´t be put in the same crate with those too and when you call they just say they have no information. If they weren´t at least trying to mislead everyone with different info or no info then things wouldn´t seem that bad...

Thats true! I saw other cases too that has been approved later than us or the same date like ours who had their new case number first but then we just wait for four weeks before getting nervous and excited. Sometimes you have to give them enough time to work on your case so that they won't be disturb otherwise the more u push them to dig into what u want the more they will be stubborn on finishing on your case. Just be positive I know that you will receive an update real soon, OK? ! :innocent:

It seems like some people have better luck than others. Our petition flew through NVC.

We were approved on 16th Oct 07 and Patsy finally managed to get through to an operator lat NVC ast night (the best time) and was told they received our file on the 13th Nov and sent it to London Consul on the 15th. So now we know we're on the last leg and only have London to wait for and deal with....Whew!

Good luck all you May fliers - and everyone else too.

My timeline

Timeline

May 9th '07 - Sent I-129F to Texas

May 16th - Texas received (Cheque cashed)

May 21st - 129F transferred to California (Registered date online at USCIS)

July 20th Called to trace NOA1

July 30th Rec NOA1 but using USCIS website date of May 21st

Aug/Sept Called 3 times and told "Will get NOA2 any day now"

Sept 21st Touched for the very first time!

Oct 15th Touched! Patsy called to ask about using Humanitarian Expediting. Told we could be approved any day.

Oct 16th Touched after emailing UK Consulate.

London emailed to say they would check with NVC and USCIS

Oct 16th - APPROVED!!! NOA2 on it's way....

Oct 21st Patsy received NOA2

Oct 23rd Patsy coming to UK. (with all our files etc and NOA2) We were advised that I shouldn't risk a visit to the USA whilst K1 pending!!. I could be refused entry and sent back home!

Nov 10th Patsy went home and we'd called NVC a lot but failed to get through to an operator for update.

Nov 13th NVC say they received our file.

Nov 15th NVC say they sent it to London. Now the last leg waiting begins.

Congrats on everyone's progress! I've been gone for a week or so, a new job has got me working around the clock!

Afterforever, how did you get your stuff for packet 3 all together???? How did you know exactly what you need? My fiance called the embassy in Greece and they told him he had to wait until the packet arrived because he would need it in order to obtain certain documents. Is this usually true or are they just giving one of those generic answers?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Okay mossycouple...I've settled down now... I will just be patient, and look in the mailbox everyday for letter from NVC. I really don't need case# yet. As long as paperwork is on its way to the Embassy... Take care..... :)

Bazoookis, I downloaded some forms off the visajourney site (look under downloads, top left heading). I also was able to download forms from the US Embassy in Thailand website. You can also download forms from the DOS website. Good luck!

What the heck??? :( Did you ask the supervisor what's the next step, like send them another copy so they can use it to forward to the NVC? This is unbelievable! I would be on top of this and wouldn't give them all the time in the world to locate it. It's already bad enough you've waited this long for the NOA2. I sure hope they can find it ASAP. Good luck and keep us posted.

She took my name, number, email address and said although they usually wait 90 days to start a search for missing files, she would send an email to the mail staging supervisor as well as the approving officer to find out where the misplacement may have occurred. She said she will also send an email to a processing supervior and follow up with a call to him this week at NVC..we'll see. I told her that many approved up to a few weeks after me already have their cases at their emabssies or on the way. I'm trying so hard to be calm and patient, but I'm losing it a bit here.

The worst part about this is that they just give us the standard 30, 60, 90 days speech and there's nothing that we can do. This is already a stressful process and added further complications only make it worst. I hope they will be able to locate your case this week. Good luck my friend.
