Great news! Congrats, Aaron!!

I received e-mail confirmation that my petition was approved on the 11th of October, and received the paper NOA2 on the 15th. I have been calling NVC and using the automated system to check if they have received my petition. Everytime I try to talk to an operator it says that all operators are busy and then returns me to the main menu. I noticed that the automated system does suggest calling back after 6PM EST to speak with an operator, which I have yet to do. Do you have to call back after 6PM to speak to a living, breathing person?

5/20/07 I-129F sent to local service center

5/30/07 I-129F received by CSC

6/1/07 NOA1 received

I think I called around 8:30 AM EST and I got connected to someone right away.

Good luck!

I just hang up when the spanish lady starts talking because you know they dumped you back into the automated system. Call right back and do it again. Today it took about 6 tries and finally I was routed into the que. 5 minutes later I was talking to someone.

They still don't have mine yet...... she said "sometimes it takes more than 4 weeks.... looks like we need to give it more time....." Well DUHHHH  Here's an original thought, how about CSC gets off their fat lazy asses for once and mails the damn petitions in a timely maner! <sigh> 5 weeks tomorrow, maybe they will get it by the end of the week....

I've emailed my state senator and sent a copy of my NOA2 to NVC today. I just got off the phone with NVC and they said usually it takes 2-4 weeks, BUT can take up to 90 days. 90 days to just forward an already approved petition??? This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!!!

I called last night and mine has not been received either. My NOA2 date is Sep. 24

Does anyone know how often they ship the packages to NVC? Is it done on a weekly, daily, etc. basis? Meaning, can it actually be received any day of the week? Thanks.

Hi, all,

I also called last night and the NVC still doesn't have record of our petition either.

They gave the the whole "it can take up to 90 days" response as well. 90 days when the NOA2 is valid for 4 months and then you have to request an extension???????? Something just doesn't seem right about that.....

....more waiting :(

Sometime I think to myself if they allow, I would go to their office to take the petition and mail it myself. Only 5 hours drive. Better than waiting 5 weeks. :jest:
