Sent email to NVC on 10/9/07 inquiring if NVC received approved I-129F (NOA2 on 9/18/07).

Today received email from NVC - This is their reply email:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Your inquiry indicates that the approved petition has been forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC) for processing. The NVC has not yet received this petition from CIS (Citizenship and Immigration Services).

Thanks for laughing Nivesito.

I get so worked up, and then I blow a gasket, and then I need to be funny...to survive this.

Are we the only April filers from Canada to not get our petition from CSC to NVC or directly to the Montreal consulate?

Why doesn't anything make sense?

There is no congruent method nor timeline that this K1 process is following

I have noted a couple got their petition approved on Sept 28th (15 days after ours), and they already have their packet #3 done and an interview here in Montreal for next week.

How is that possible?? Grrrrrr.... :protest:

Happy for them and sad for us.

This feels like me these days: :girlwerewolf2xn:

Bahahaha!!!

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You will do foolish things.

Do them with enthusiasm!!

Don't just do something. Sit there.

"I hope you hear from them soon! "

Thanks for your kind words!

It is just over a month now since my NOA2 and from various posts from others, it seems to take approx. 5 weeks for CSC to forward the approved application to NVC. I just hope that doesn't change and not become 6 weeks, or 7 or 8 or 9. It seems things can change all of a sudden without any warning.

Just want to join in the group AARRRGGGHHH at the "bonus wait" of NOA2 to NVC.... and there was me thinking that it'd be an easy ride after NOA2! Hahahaha. We got our NOA2 this week and it's a bit of a letdown to find this next stage has been getting longer. Like being told at the marathon finishing line, Well done, but actually there's another 1/2 marathon still to go....

Still laughing at the thought of SpiritAlight's donkey transporting all our approvals!! Can't find a donkey icon though :)

Hey guys.

Well, I'm starting to get depressed. We receive our NOA2 at 09/14 and no NVC so far.

I just saw a timeline from Brazil that has gotten the NOA2 at 09/24 and NVC at 10/11. What should I do?

:crying:

Hi Clau, I saw that too. I think we can all agree this process isn't always fair :( . Hold tight, you are almost there! Have you called NVC yet? You're over 30 days. Maybe they will give you some good news.

Good Luck!

Is the processing time through NVC only long for petitions from CSC, or is it long for VSC also?

From what I've seen, there's only a delay with CSC, VSC (although approvals are slow) seems to be mailing cases off right away after approval.

I just called NVC and our case arrived on 10/15 and left today 10/17. Thank God! I hope this sheds a little light on the wait time. We were approved on 9/10.

Looking up!

V

Hello April Filers,

It seems like many of us April K1s are on stand by...such a sorry state of affairs.

However, we are a large group, and I do believe in a group's ability to infect change.

Let us keep an intention together:

we will all get through to the NVC by the end of this week!

Oooooohhhhhmmmmmmm.

Believe it people!

We indeed create our reality.

Let's do a bang-up job and stop wallowing in it.

(man, where do I get this stuff?? hahaha)

I declare: it is our choice.

Let's make it happen!!!

Write what you want to happen on a card and stick it on your bathroom mirror, and then: say it out loud every day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ha! Thanks StoryAngel.
I liked your sound effects.
I can see our little hard-working donkey in my mind's eye...which makes me smile as I believe he/she is consulting google maps and plugging in way points into its hoof-held GPS, just to make sure it doesn't get lost.
Maybe we should name our little transporter. Hmmm?
Oh!
WAIT!
There it is:
I'm a K3 filer who started way back in March but I'm in the same boat as ALL who have sent in their I-129f's and are now waiting for the transfer to the NVC. It been 5 weeks and 3 days since approvals for me, and that was after waiting 180 days. I'll call the NVC but not the CSC because they have no clue where your petition is once it goes to their staging area. Contractors take it from there. The lady at the NVC Friday told me that even they're none too happy with the Immigration Service because of the high volume of phone calls from I-129f petitioners and the low volume of I-129f's they're seeing coming in :angry: :angry:!!
I-130 Process
3-20-07 NOA 1
3-23-07 Touched
9-12-07 Touched ( because of phone call )
9-13-07 APPROVED
9-19-07 NOA 2
I-129f Process
4-06-07 NOA 1
4-09-07 Touched
4-17-07 Transferred to CSC
4-18-07 Touched
4-19-07 Touched
4-23-07 Hard copy transfer NOA
5-07-07 Pending at CSC
9-12-07 Touched ( because of phone call )
Hi everyone!
I posted this question on another thread regarding NOA2 to NVC, just repeating it here too:
Has anyone who is waiting that long to reach NVC tried to contact your congressmen regarding that ridiculous wait. It just insane. No verification, no decision that needs to be made, just simply sitting in a mail room and waits to be shipped. May be congressional inquiry on each personal case can move it finally out?
My timeline:
K-1 visa
05 - 16 - 2007 - Sending off of my I-129F package
10 - 16 - 2007-Got NOA2 !!!!
I'm sorry for those who have been waiting to hear something from NVC for many days now. I wonder why it takes so long for cases filed at CSC to get sent out to their embassies while those cases filed at VSC get sent out in 1 to 5 days...if I'm not mistaken. :unsure: I know it's not fair. :( I wish you all hear something from NVC soon... God bless
