I e-mailed NVC on Oct 8th asking whether they had received our case from CSC. NVC replied now saying they have not. :( I hope they receive it atleast before this month ends!

At least they replied! We where approved from Vermont on 10/15/2007, on Oct 16 my fiance send an email to NVC with a request for my address and embassy change (from Frankfurt, Germany to Zagreb, Croatia). No reply at all! On Oct 17 he called them and was told that petition is not going to be there before 2-4 weeks from approval. Here is why VJ is so important!!! I told him that isn't true because from a timline on VJ it takes 2-4 days from Vermont to NVC. He called yesterday again and of course the petition was there!!!!!! Thy guy told him that they haven't seen the email and to call next Wednesday to change the address and the embassy!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I've told again to my fiance (again according to VJ timeline) that petitions are sent out right away. He called again and got another lady. She told him that it should be in Frankfurt in 2-4 weeks (I really don't know what's the deal with 2-4 weeks, are they programed to that). After he told her that the embassy needs to be changed she went to her supervisor and told to my fiance to send the email again and to call in 1 hour. We called again in 1 hour to be told by another CS guy after he went to supervisor again that they are working on it and to call again on Monday!!!!!!!!! What are they working on it!!!! Just change it!!! So, we are going to call again today and see... Ok, at the end we can transfer it from Frankfurt to Zagreb but why would we do that if they should be able to change it!!! How hard can it be. They have my old address in Germany, are they planing on sending the letter to that address?!!!! I have never seen in my life such an incompetent and ignorant people!!!!!

Well, the point is they are useless! My fiance called again and CS guy said that they would need proof of residency like a copy of my passport and that there are no guarantees that it would be changed because that’s their policy!!! Well they didn't need the proof for my residency in Germany and if I'm a Croatian citizen it's obvious that I have a residency in Croatia. My fiance told him then that their policy is unacceptable and that this is something that needs to be changed immediately. My fiance then asked him to talk to his supervisor and he put him on hold then came back and told him that his supervisor was working on the case and updating it to Zagreb, Croatia……………I don’t know if we should believe him or not!!

It's just doesn't make sense. The whole process is so long and people move even to another country. Since I'm not a German resident since September I can't do my interview there and my address there is not valid anymore!

They lie just to get you of the phone.

Maybe I'm just naive, maybe that's the way things work but I lived in two different countries and traveled a lot and I've never seen something like this. I went already to visa process for Germany, it's not easy to but at least you get information and nobody lies to you just to get you of the phone!

I'm so sorry you're going through this.. I understand your frustrations completely. But I just wanted to clarify that VJ timelines are not 100% accurate, these are just aproximated times. VJ can say it will take 10 days to get NOA1.. the truth is we waited 1 month to get ours. VJ says, your case should be forwarded to the NVC in 2 weeks.. lately, in reality it's taking up to 1 month. So keep in mind that VJ timelines are not always the 'rule'.

I hope you are able to solve this ASAP!

Good luck!

Yeah, no luck here either :(. Called NVC...not there yet...she was nice though....called CSC...petition still there...couldn't tell me when it would be sent. Lovely

The guy at CSC, who was also very nice, told me that the petitions were grouped together and then sent. I had heard that before. I just don't understand why it takes them five weeks or more to send a box. How hard is it??? Here, let me help you...here's the box, here's some packing tape, here's the address for NVC...

Grrrr......trying to stay positive!!!! I'm hoping to hear next week too, but I'm starting to get worried the time is increasing...soon it will be more like six weeks. This sucks!

You are right, but VJ times are more accurate then what NVC said. And CS people there where really polite (I'm not complaining about that) but they'll say anything to get you of the phone. I've posted the whole story at "Waiting NOA2 from VSC", actually it's a letter to the representative.

Yes, this is a most disturbing wait; worse than waiting for the NOA2.

We got approved on September 13th.

NVC has not received our petition.

The USCIS has given different responses the 3 times we have called them.

What do they know really?

I am starting to visualize the donkey that is transporting our approved requests to get married.

Donkeys do get tired, and stop to drink, eat and rest.

It will be a while...

That's great that your case has been already forwarded! I'm just not sure about th NVC telling you when will your interview and medical exam be... for what I know it's the Consulate who sets the date not the NVC.

What we did is that once we knew the NVC forwarded our case to the local Embassy, I searched on the Embassy website and found an email address I sent an e-maill to the Consulate and they replied back next day.
