"As a spouse of a US Citizen, you can apply for citizenship 3 (three) years after approval of your Adjustment of Status. Back at the AOS interview, your passport was stamped with the I-551 stamp and a date. The 3 year countdown begins with that date. "

If I had no AOS interview how do I prove that my AOS was approved on a certain date - no stamp in my passport ?

Thanks for input.

The approval date on the first green card, either a conditional or unconditional green-card.

Also another factor to consider, NO periods outside the USA longer than 6 months, if you leave the USA for an extendid visit to family longer than 6 months, the 3 year clock gets reset. Another factor you must be in the country for a minimum of 18 months.

Seems like same questions being asked without looking in the forum before posting.

YuAndDan I looked for an answer before I posted. Do you think that the title of the post you linked suggests I could expect to find the answer there ?

Anyway, thanks for your help.

If these duplicate posts inconvenience you - you can always simply not bother to read and/or answer them - especially as there are many willing to provide an answer without berating or lecturing the O/P.
