Hello everyone. I am new at this forum and would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with my vaccinations problems. I am from Pakistan and am expecting my CR-1 Visa interview call in a month's time hopefully. Before that I need to get my vaccinations done and I am totally clueless about them. I have no record of my childhood vaccinations and havent gotten any shots recently. Can someone please tell me which are the required vaccinations which a person needs in Pakistan?! Can someone plz give me a list?? I am desperate here!!

Well the instructions for medical exam's are part of packet 4 which is sent out after your interview date has been set. However, there is a way around this in that if you contact the us embassy in pakistan, they should provide you with a list of approved doctors. once you go to those doctors they will exam you and give you any vaccinations that you do not have. As far as the criteria for the medical exam, that too can also be provided by the embassy. Hope this helps.

Thankyou so much for the help! I did call the Islamabad Embassy here in Pakistan and they told me that I dont need any vaccinations done from before. HE said the Medical DOC will tell which ones I will need. But I am worried about some of them like Hepatitis B and the Chicken Pox Vaccines which include 2-3 shots over a time period of 4-5 months! This is very confusing. Worse part is the my parents didnt keep any childhood vaccination records of mine and so I cant prove MMR, TD etc shots. :(

i dont know the laws there when you are a child going in to the school but here you must have certain shots before entering school. so in that case your parents would have to have shown the school record of this. maybe you could get a copy from your school. they keep these for a long time. again however i do not know if your country has this law for the schools. good luck

Yes thats what ive read too but I think in Pakistan you have to get it done regardless of your age. Another thing which seems wierd to me is TD vaccinations. In Pakistan you get them as a child but seems like they want you to take it again?? And that is another 6 months course consisting of 3 shots. So how is one expected to complete it before the medical exam?

I guess that is something I wont be able to get done then. Its been 15days since we submitted my IV Form DS 230. So Ive got about a month atleast till I have my medical exam. Will work out something. Lets see..thanks alot everyone for helping me out!
