We applied for AP and our receipt date is July 27

We have only had one update on August 22

Any ideas when you think our AP will arrive?

We are stressed out for AP. Our lawyer told us we should have it in time for a big event in mid/late October but no updates online since Aug 22. If you look at my signature you would see that we have just had updates on 765 and 485 yesterday but nothing on AP :(

Anyone want to take an educated guess when we may see it?

it could take up to 90 days.

Call your congressman and ask them if they can make some noise about it.

I wouldn't panic (I know, easy for me to say...). It's only been two months since you applied, and I think APs take 2 1/2 to 3 months on average. Our first AP took just under 3 months, and there were no touches on it until the approval notice was sent out. Come to think of it, the AP renewal, which was processed really quickly (five weeks), also had no touches until approval.

I wonder if you can do an info pass and request an emergency AP

Thanks Everyone.

I emailed my senator tonight and explained the situation and also said that our 90th day is just a couple days (4) after the reason I need the AP to see if she could try to help, it's worth a try, right?

I don't know if I can get any documentation to take for an infopass unfortunately, I doubt my going down there and pleading would do much good without any.

I am glad to know that there arent any updates/or very few updates for AP online.

Does that mean when it's approved that I may just get it in the mail somewhere along the way or will they finally say approved online or on the phone recording?

An infopass will not help much. Your senator can contact their liaison at USCIS and obtain a status update, they can actually help expedite this. USCIS is notorious for waiting till the last minute to process applications.

Good Luck! My husband and I are in a similar boat. What I don't understand is if they couldn't approve the AP by the requested date of travel(Oct. 9th) why did they cash the check?

I made an appointment with our congresswoman for tomorrow afternoon and hope she can somehow speed things along.
