Going to get my copy from target today..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Well I went up to best buy and there was a large cue of unwashed teenagers who really should have been at school standing in line. The only reason I was there early as that I needed to get an external floppy disk drive for one of the computers at work (the internal one is bust). Found it quite funny, but they were people there buying several copies and some woman buying two xbox 360 halo editions and two legenedary editions of the game, must have cost her a pretty penny.

Anyway back at work now so I wont get to play it until after 5.

Anyway get a chance post your first impressions.

Hubby really liked Bioshock ... but he had the PC version. He has not said if he wants to try the 360 version.

My son and stepson are so into Halo. They even "produced" their own movies (complete with dialogue) ... LOL ... I blame it on the Red vs Blue videos that came out as a result of the Halo games.

I just heard a reporter on NPR say that he played through the whole thing - took him 12 hours and that he got so dizzy (vertigo) that he threw up 5 hours into it... a testimony to how much he liked it...he came back to the game after cleaning up. I don't think I could do anything for 12 hours straight...that's crazy.

Bioshock is mostly the same on the 360 or PC. The 360 version costs $10 more. And yes its a very good game.

You haven't seen the craziness following the release of a Final Fantasy game - there actually people who compete for the record of completing it the quickest.

Also those games are designed for the 'hardcore' gamer - in FF7, there was an extra part of the map that you could only get to by playing one of the sub-games literally for hours. I like my games to at least make me think (hence I like a lot of real-time strategy and adventure games) - can't imagine playing a sub-game mindlessly like that.

I think that was made by some of the same people behind System Shock and Deus Ex. Really good game designers.

Also looking forward to Fallout 3 sometime next year.
