Question guys. From reading and all....I have figured that on average time frame....from the Nvc until the actual arrival home (after ap and security checks, interview, etc)...the wait time is about 6 months??? 3 months to receive interview and 3 months of ap??? Is this about right???

thanks

:)

From the time NBC transferred file to amman, it was almost 5 months for the interview for my husband. I hope you hear good news soon!

I tuned out of vj for a while so I really shouldn't speak up about current timelines.....but this shocking to me!!! -good shocking

When we were filing, it was taking almost a year from the time AMM recieved it til getting an interview date scheduled. Every bit of our process was (relatively) fast and easy except for that part. If I recall, it was almost a month to get the 130 approved, like 5-6 months to case complete at nvc, then Amman recieved it and just sat on it FOREVER and EVER and EVER doing nothing so we waited and waited..... then he got a date set that came up fast and it was over and he was here. But that waiting time was a killer, especially since there was no apparent reason for it. I have not forgotten that aggravation so I feel for all you that are going through it. I am happy to see that Amman has picked up speed quite a bit.

It wasn't just us...that was just how long it was taking. Well, JP's case took an wrong turn somewhere (glad thats behind them!!), but the waiting was actually right in line with all the other amman cases at that time. Good to see they are doing something differently.

Our interview was in July and we are still waiting for his AR to be finished. And forget about security checks, who knows how long that can take.

It would be safest to say the wait could take as long as a year from the first filing. We filed our I-129 and I-130 in January, the interview came faily quickly, but we are still waiting for his visa to be issued. God knows you can't get a straight answer on the wait time from the embassy or from DOS.

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!

Same here-- i filed February of 2006 and he received an original interview date of June 2007, which moved to April.. but we were in teh same Iraqi/Syrian/Jordanian crunch in Amman. And now people are always asking me why it took so long for us and our case when theirs is going so fast  Like there was somehting wrong with us!

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.
