I checked my status online and it says that EAD card production ordered. Does this means that I can now look and apply for work? Can i apply now even though i dont have the actual card on hand or its still safe to wait for the actual card befor applying? Thanks..

You can apply now - in my experience it takes forever and even longer to get a job, so it is definitely safe to start looking now. Your EAD card should arrive shortly :)

Congrats on the EAD approval. You should be able to apply for positions and by the time you receive an offer you sould have the EAD. It only took Claudeth 4 days from the approval email before the card arrived.

Go for it! How likely is it generally that an interview for a prospective job will be granted before the card arrives? Congratulations on the approval! :thumbs:

Many have said that you can, however, we decided to just wait for the card. It only took a week to get from the card production email. Congrats on the approval.

I'd start looking now, and if you had a proposal before the card was in hand - well, at least you have the e-mail saying it's coming. Like the others said, it can take time to get jobs - even for USCs.

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil
