There's a few September filers....take a look at the VJ immigration timelines. There's alot better tracking on there to see approvals. CSC has had at least 3 or 4 approvals from September filers:

I called up USCIS today to enquire about my case and got the same answer that they are processing applications from July 26, 07 and I can only generate a service request when my application is 30 days past the current processing date on their bulletin. When I asked how come some applications from Sept are getting approved; the rep said he can't give a concrete reason but it depends at which office an application lands up cos each office processes applications somewhat differently. So much so for first come first serve

Well with anything, you just have to be patient. One reason ours may have been approved early is because we originally filed in August but forgot our payment and when I called they don't know if they used the august date or sept date as priority when we re-mailed the entire packet. Also- the reason I hate to post that I got approval(but do so to help timelines) is people like you amar who then run and complain to USCIS and site cases like mine. Quit using my case to complain about your own- I wasn't expecting approval till May even though I filed in August so I don't see why you can't understand that some applications will be out of order no matter what- it's how mail works- not everything can be exact- a few slip through. Your approver might be working slowly through the box or something. Maybe yours isn't as clear or the same circumstances and proof. Lets NOT forget that USCIS doesn't approve every single petition- lots get weeded out. Also- constantly nagging USCIS doesn't get anything done but have them be annoyed at you. Call when it's past the timeline on the site, geez.

First of all, you can't site you don't know me because we are all talking about Sept filers because of mine being approved as just a handful of them on here have(go read the thread your posting on, only about 4-5). So no the world doesn't revolve around me but if I post my approval and get congrats and then I have to read about you not only calling USCIS to complain but also saying so much for first come first serve it's RUDE of you. Next, I said I have a problem with people like you using cases LIKE mine to complain to USCIS. Not specifically but I mean cases that are approved out of order which mine is included in and therefore does have something to do with me.

You also, were very much complaining so don't try to make yourself out as some poor little soul who was just inquiring, you even said "So much for first come first serve" and that is not only RUDE but INSULTING to those of us who have got approved out of order. It's not like we asked for it. I feel like you calling to cite cases like mine saying that you are worried(when you case shouldn't even BE approved yet according to USCIS) just makes it worse for those of us who were approved because then we have to see others complain instead of be happy. I never said little snide remarks when others were getting approved out of order, I was and am happy for them. So, I don't need your congratulations after you've already stated how unfair it was that it's getting approved out of order. Start your own thread to complain about not being approved- this is for people who are pending and who have- not people who want to complain about it.

Tiane for Amarinthe .. Guys this is a forum that helps us all.. with information on how to file, information on timeliines, etc. I think we can all aggree that this process is stressful and while we are happy that others get approved, we also dream about the day when we can report that we have been approved too . I dont think Amara wrote that to be rude to u or any filer.. while I aggree it dosent feel good when someone else is not happy because of ur approval.. its best to not take things personally. We are all in the same boat trying to get to the same destination. Bottomline its up to the individual, if they see the glass half empty or half full. When I see ppl getting approved, I am happy.. that tells me the wheel is moving along!! And in no way can USCIS be perfect in rolling them out by filing date when they were sitting who knows where collecting dust for months, and then there's the matter of the petitions own circustances as u also mentioned. Come'on APPROVALS!

I think Tiane may have jumped the gun on this one. Amar never mentioned Tiane, but merely expressed his concern with being without an approval. I don't think a person should wait for the USCIS website to change their dates of approvals but call when they have knowing knowledge and are past the 6 month mark. Half a year to wait and not call is a long time and that person deserves some sort of answers. People are really touchy feely on here lately.

I personally love to see approvals. It means that the applications are moving. I was on here when there wasn't one approval for at least 3 months! So to see approvals now...I jump for you. Now if it gets to be that the following 2 months behind my month of submission are getting approvals and I still have not.....well....heck yeah I'd be a bit pissed. Not pissed at those who got the approval....but pissed at USCIS for taking so long with my application. I think this was the case with Amar.

I can understand amar's position. I filed at CSC on 08/14/07 and received my NOA2 at 10/02/07 as exactly as amar. I was very frustrated too when my case reached 200-days mark and I see people filed behind me getting approval. Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for everyone that gets the approval.

Part of the frustration came from what the heck is USCIS doing with my case while they openly state that cases will handle in the order they received (except from certain extreme conditions). Like amar, I did call USCIS on 02/29/08 to show my concern, and my case thus far has processed smoothly.

I would encourage all August filers, who have never call before, to call USCIS right away and find out the real status behind their cases. After all, we all want to be with our loved one.
