Are W2's really needed at the interview???

We have our interview coming up in May and on the checklist I noticed that they ask to bring your W2's?? They were submitted when my husband's taxes were filed each year and we don't have extra copies. Do we really need to bring these and if so, where can we get them???

I'm taking ours, but that's just us. We got ours from H&R Block where we filed our taxes. I'm guessing you can also get them from your places of employment. GOod luck!!

I do my own taxes, and all you nee dto do is to contact your employer and request W-2 forms for the past three years - they have them in archives. If you have had multiple employers, you'd have to contact each one of them.

If you filed your tyaxes with H&R block, they should have copies of everything you have submitted previously to them:)

You do not need W2s if your husband's income was the only income on the returns i.e. he didn't file married filing jointly in the last 3 years - because then they need to figure out his income alone for sponsorship. If you have already received your AOS interview letter then you are Ok with just taking copies of the return - no one asked for anything except relationship proof in our interview. Good Luck
