Just finished my medical and thought I would put in a review so ppl can know what to expect:

This location is 1 block east of St. Lawrence market. There is also a Starbucks 1 street north.

Got there right at 7am and there was already a line up. 3 people were ahead of me (they were 1 family). In the next few minutes, there was soon a line up behind me of 5 other people. Around 715am the office opened and we were told to have our letter and case/file # ready for the receptionist. We were told to drop it off to her and then proceed to the waiting room.

I brought a book along and glad I did as there wasn't too much to look at in the waiting room. Magazines were pretty outdated. :P

Waited there about 10 minutes before they called me and I was ushered into a registration room where the lady asked for my passport, 3 photos, vacination record and $185 CDN (this can be paid in cash or money order).

After registration, I was told do go down the coridor and sit in another waiting area for my chest x ray. It didn't take very long until it was my turn. They will ask you to remove necklaces and tie up your hair (if it is long). A make-shift gown will be given to you to use during the x ray and exam.

After the x ray, went back into the main waiting room and about 15 minutes later they called my name. I was then taken to one of the Dr's office's and told that he was seeing 2 other patients and that it would shortly be my turn. I sat there reading my book for about 10 minutes when the nurse came back and told me that I could change into the gown. 20 minutes later Dr. Seiden entered and went over a list of questions (heart murmur, diabetes, etc) and reviewed my vaccinations. Make sure that your records indicate ALL vacinnations, even the ones when you were a baby! I was missing those and told that typically they don't ask for those in Canada but because the U.S wants to know everything that we need to provide these dates. Another female Dr. then came in and did my physical while Dr. Seiden left for his next patient.

After the physical, I was told to go into the room with the sign marked 'Laboratory' where I sat and waited for 'Maria' to draw my blood. She was very nice and friendly. Did a good job of taking blood as it wasn't too painful. 2 vials were drawn.

After the blood work, I had to hand a completed check list to the receptionist and that's that! Now I just have to get back to them with my vacinnation information from infancy and that is that!

It wasn't bad at all....reading material is suggested unless you want to stare at each other in the waiting room(s). ;)

Hope this helps!

My husband took the GO train from Burlington (i believe, at work and cant remember for sure). I do know that the train station he parked at did not charge for parking. I remember husband saying that from the train station to the dr. office was only like a 5 min walk. If you want more info, let me know and ill find out for sure where he parked.

There is street (metered) parking and I think a parking lot is still down there ($3.00 for 1/2 hour I believe). I haven't been down that way since late July. The best bet, if DH can manage it, is to get someone to accompany him and if need be move the car when the meter maid shows up. There is one alley I know of just before University Ave. meets Front Street that always has a few people waiting in their cars to pick up people. It's only a short walk blocks from Seiden's. Dr. Seiden schedules quite early and parking enforcement doesn't start showing up until 10. The "parking shuffle" is Toronto's favourite dance. :)

This doesn't seem so bad. I will have my daughter with me as well and she is only 13. She might want her mommy with her while the exam is happening. Wonder if that will pose a problem ???
