I bet you won't be able to hold until tomorrow. I personally will give them a shout out later on around 11PM EST. Wish me luck on that one last call for the day too! :pop:

I have just posted earlier today the same advice I will give you here: Call your state congressional representative, I was waiting and waiting for the NVC to send our appt. date even though the case was "completed", 1 call from my congressman to the NVC congressional liason we had our appt and packet 4 info appt. letter within 1 week.

The nvc has a fax line just for federal government use, thanks

YAY! Congrats! Rina, I don't know what that means for us and the rest of everyone who's waiting. I called at 8:00AM and same message. Just called again, same message. I'm trying to get a hold of a customer service rep right now as we speak. What if our case WAS complete BUT they didn't change it on the automated message? It's better to be safe than sorry! :)

It's SOOOO hard to get a hold of one though! Hope everyone has even MORE luck today! :)

Yes, I am. I just got off the phone though with a customer service rep and I'm literally in tears right now! They are sending a CHECKLIST!!! She said there was NO police certificate in there! Ha! I'm like "What?" and then she repeated it and I told her "OMG I put it in there" and then she said "Well hang on a minute" so there was a moment of silence and then she gets back on and asked me if my husband got it from DGIC. I said I wasn't completely sure but it sounded VERY familiar. I tried getting a hold of him and of course he isn't there.

So they are sending a darn checklist letter. I DO believe everything happens for a reason and it's all in God's timing, the timing He knows to be right, so maybe it's not the right time yet for our case to be complete. I am TRYING to be optimistic about this right now. But I'm going crazy right now.

I am just glad I called though and received a different answer than "It takes 2-4 weeks for review." lol!

Soooo it turns out that either it's the WRONG police certificate OR they didn't "get" one. IN OTHER WORDS, I bet they lost it or something. Really ticks me off. I am not even DOUBTING that I didn't put it in there. I KNOW I DID. I put it in there and I told her that I always make a Table of Contents page for that reason and she said "Well just have to wait for the checklist letter to come".

Argh I cannot believe this is happening.:wacko::crying:

Well I just called and the auto-message for mine was updated today.

I sent back a checklist for the I-864 and my DS-230 which they received on September 13 - have been getting the 'we have received your checklist' message since then.

Today the message says:

The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete

The NVC mailed a letter on sept 22nd indicating what documentation was missing or incomplete.

So I will be calling them later to see what's up, this is getting beyond ridiculous.

It truly IS getting beyond ridiculous. My husband even told me to just forget it and we'll move somewhere else lol! Of course he was just saying that out of frustration, but my goodness ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

 No word from mine yet either. I called them 5x already, and it's just half my day spent with NVC hotline. They keep on saying to me that it is still under review, some said it's not being picked up yet for review. I mean, I don't understand what's taking them so long knowing they do this everyday, they must know what are those forms or documents that need to be on there for them to say it's either APPROVED or NOT. :dead:

Megan, I hope it really works for you. I know you have been waiting for your case to be completed with NVC. I mean, we all are! Cheer up girl, you are right when you said everything happens for a reason. I'll say a prayer for you. (F)

Well I called them and talked to them.

She couldn't tell me EXACTLY what they needed but I did find out:

It's the DS-230 - questions 20 (places you have lived for the last 10 years) & 22 (All employment for the last 10 years).

From that and looking at the copy I made I think I know what happened.

Both of these questions have a date range From - To. Because you can't type in 'present' I was going to write this in for his latest employment and residence - but.....yes....I forgot to do that.

The funny thing is I said last night - 'you know I'm sure there was something I was going to write in on that form afterwards because the field was too small to accept the text'.

Guess I know now!!

Now I have to decide whether or not to send in the DS-230 Part 1 again, right away, with those corrections - or wait and get the checklist to ensure that is indeed what they want (in looking at it, other than not writing in 'present' - it is all correct).

Hey Meg, sorry to hear about the certificate, don't let it get you down too much. Once they receive the checklist back it doesn't take long for them to process it, basically they received my first one back on Thursday the 13th and must have processed it no later than Friday the 21st (which is when they sent me the checklist for the DS-230) - may have even been sooner - since it was the I-864, maybe just didn't show up on the auto-message. Hang in there!

Thanks Rina and Trailmix! I am still trying to be optimistic. Hubby has completely "given up" though. He says that he's not sending me anything and not going to call me again, blah blah blah. Our usual bickering lol! It's just our frustrations, that's all. We've been through SO much not including this process, and I know we will get through this somehow some way. :)

Thank you for the prayer Rina, I will say a prayer for you too as well as everyone else here! :)

For now I'll just have to wait for the darn checklist letter and see what is going on. There must be a reason for this obstacle, this too shall pass. :)

Hi dimp,

You should wait. I would keep trying to call, just to confirm - but it really does sound like they just haven't processed or acknowleged your DS-230 yet.
