AFTER K3 IS GRANTED HOW LONG TO USE IT

I know the K3 is good for 2 years and multiple entry, but once it is approved how much time do you have to use it for the first time....the reason i ask my father in law has a short time to live due to illness and marivic would like to stay till he is gone. I just couldnt find the info i needed

You have two years to enter the US. Once in the US, you have two years of legal status from the date of entry. An I-94 with a stamped expiration date two years from entry should be stapled in the passport at the POE.
