Oh wonderful just another country we need to be stuck in for another 4 years plus.

No, we're just going to bomb the ####### out of them.

Perfect timing too, while Ahmedinejihad is in NY...

Yeah, no ground war, just death from above. We could take out all their bases and neuter that #######.

That'll do a lot for getting the Iranian people to see our POV.

Meanwhile it will be open enrolment for extremist groups.

the iranian people aren't the ones trying to develop nukes. their gov't and military is.

open enrollment for extemist group is already ongoing.

is you think the middle east & the world for that matter is bad now. wait til iran has nukes.

A massive air bombardment will kill large numbers of Iranian civilians however you look at it. All it will do is radicalise people towards the govt's point of view.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

iran w/ nuke would kill millions of civilians in the middle east & anywhere else they decide to target.

one thing keeps coming up in these discussions i don't understand. please explain to how you would go about changing peoples views towards america. & please non of diplomacy business. if anything has been proven through out history is diplomacy does not work when dealing w/ terrorist & states that sponser terrorist activities.

If you throw out legititmate dialog as a viable strategy - then you don't really have much left IMO. I'd sooner believe that Iran, like the US is home to some liberal minded people who don't believe that murder and depravity is a way forward. Its already been pointed out what happened the last time the US embroiled itself in (franklly unjustified) regime change during the 1950's.

Unfortunately what we have seen in recent years is a movement away from rational dialogue towards rising nationalism and xenophobic attitudes (which incidentally - post-9/11 is exactly what has happened in the US).

Of course if you can't at least see a different point of view - then there is really nothing I can say that will satisfy you. Agree to disagree perhaps - though something tells me that you won't.

I'm going off what happened in Iraq - last I read that country still has not managed to repair all the damage to its basic infrastructure following the war - over 3 years ago (I believe there are still areas with intermittent electricity for example).

I dunno about you - but how inclined you be to feel positively towards a foreign country that is dropping bombs on your doorstep.

I don't think we'll have to find out. Once Israel becomes convinced Iran has a viable nuclear attack capability, they will launch a strike. Maybe this time it will be another country's war and we can all just sit back and watch it unfold on CNN.

 legitimate dialog as a viable strategy- we have already offered to help the w/ nuculear energy if they stop their program......"nothing & noone will stop us" was the reply.

:lol: & as soon as their liberal minded people take control of the gov't & military their national stance & opinion will matter. as of now the liberal minded minority is powerless & basically voiceless inside a country ruled by islamic law and run by a dumbf**k that keeps giving sound bites like..." the holocost is a myth" & "whipe isreal off the map"

yes we will have to agree to disagree on how to deal w/ terrorist & states that sponsor terrorist.

Well it stands to reason that you can't kill everyone - and sooner or later some other solution will have to prevail. Again with the 1953 coup (that being a direct cause of the diplomatic crisis that resulted in the US shutting off diplomatic ties) still being in living memory the Iranians don't exactly have much reason to trust the US and UK.
