Hi everybody,

I have just been looking at the fees for AOS and EAD. I was all along thinking that the $1010 included everything, but then noticed the I-765 has a $340 fee next to it. Is this an additional $340 on top of the $1010?

Too freakin expensive!

12/31/2007 AP approved.

01/07/2008 AP received.

02/01/2008 AOS interview in Denver. APPROVED!

02/11/2008 Green Card received in mail!

Done until July 09' !

If your applications are filed all together I think it is just one fee $1010. I belkeive the EAD and AP is now included in the I-485 price.

toward the bottom of the page at USCIS for the I-765 form, it says:

If you are filing this application concurrently with Form I-485, Application for Permanent Residence, no fee is required to file this form. As of 07/30/07, if you file your Form I-765 separately, you must also submit a copy of your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, as a receipt of evidence for the filing of your I-485.

You have to wait to file your I-765 til after you have rec'd your NOA from the AOS application, you can no longer send them together it would seem.

It says very clearly that if you file them together you are not required to pay an extra fee. You don't have to wait until you get the NOA for AOS!

It's only if you file separately that you have to wait for your AOS NOA.

$1010 covers AOS, EAD, and AP. Read the paragraph on page 7 of the I-485 directions, it is explained there.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
