I thought it would be useful to have a thread which provides a quick snapshot of US Citizens attempting to get Green Card's for their parents (IR-5) through Montreal.

Specifically it appears that the wait times in between NVC completion date and interview date are getting longer and are difficult to pin down.

My mother's case was "completed" at the NVC on April 13th, 2007. We were just informed that she is not in the batch for October interviews.

Can anybody else share when their case at the NVC was completed, and whether they are still waiting or when they are scheduled for interviews for an IR-5 through Montreal?

I will keep a summary of responses for those taking the time to post and read.

Thanks !

There's the other IR5. I knew you were around here somewhere. I have the forum that I started for IR5s but I figured your mom had already interviewed at MTL. My complete timeline is around here somewhere.

Ok, If I was to make a spreadsheet for IR5's, what would you want on it, IR5formumsie?

The timeline you gave me is confusing cuz I'm a k1-er and also cuz there's dates for TWO ppl per case...

here's what you gave me:

05/21/2005 NOA1 Receipt (Mom) Priority Date

05/25/2005 NOA1 Receipt (Dad) Priority Date

06/06/2005 NOA2 Approval (Mom)

06/13/2005 NOA2 Approval (Dad)

08/??/2005 AOS for Mom, need I-824 for CP there goes $190.00

01/??/2006 I-824 finally approved for Mom

02/12/2007 I-864EZ Submitted (Mom and Dad)

03/02/2007 I-864 Receipt and Checklist

04/02/2007 IV Fee Bill mailed in $380.00 (each, Mom and Dad), affidavits for missing documents (b/c)

05/02/2007 Dad’s Case Complete waiting for Mom’s Case (found out on 05/22)

07/27/2007 Both Cases finally ready for Scheduling, C’mon Montreal!

What do you think the main titles should be? THis is what I currently use for the K visas.

I could do it right now if you make sense of all the I-864, I824, seperate NOA1s and NOA2s for each parent..
