Havnt heard a word ... really scared ...

Hi all.. please. help ease my mind..

my baby went back on the 10th by train.. from Bhvanager for a b-1/b2 interview in Delhi. Interview was scheduled for Sept 13 at 1pm. .

The two of us rarely go more than a day without talking.. and. since the 10th I have not heard a word.

I figured that with his phone service... Hutch.. he might not be having connection on train.. but figured he would have contacted me to tell me he arrived.. but then nothing. .

Then Wed the 12th was my Birthday .. ok ok .. first time since i have know him that not even a simple email of happybirthday . nothing. no wishes.. fine. i originally thought ok fine he was going to tell me .. that when we talked following his interview.. .. .. but nothing.

This is sooo unlike him.. i am scared something has happened...

I call his mobile.. and phone is not charged.. no service... .. I even had a friend .. one of his clients in London call the phone.. and there was not connection for them either.. so it is not (godforbid) him just choosing not to answer my call... .. His other mobile. that he uses for net connection is also not connecting.. .. says not connecting or switched off. ..

We have had many discussions in past of what if... something happened to him.. how would I ever know .. .. and I got . honey dont worry brother knows to contact you.. or his daughter can..

but... .. now there is nothing.

Am i wrong to want to find someone that can write in Hindu. or Gujurati.. a letter for his father. or brother. .. just requesting if he is ok .. to express my concerns..?

The only other time we have ever been out of contact this long was when he got in a motorcycle accident three years ago.. and his mobile was lost.. his brother brought him a new mobile.. and he called me from hospital.. he was scared of my concern.. knowing how out of my mind i would be... .. that time it was only 7 days... aughhhhhh... ..

I hope he is ok... I wish i knew what to do... I wake up in terror dreams. of him laying hurt somewhere... .. It is absolutely the worse helpless feeling...

Anyone know Gujarati... or Hindu that can write a letter for me.. scan and email to me so i can send to pappa.? reason is . Papa doesn't speak English.. so my sending a letter to the family of concern.. would have little meaning.. if it is not able to be read or translated correctly.

Put some prayers for him please... ..

I am concerned too, it seems sooo unlike him... even if something happened to his mobile, he could use a landline to call you right? Any weather problems that side that you know about? What about any relatives or friends, do you have any mobile or landline numbers to anyone there? If nothing else, you could say his name and ask kahan hai, kaisa hai (that is the extent of my Hindi...), certainly they could understand that right?

I wish I could help with the language, but I only know Telugu. There are many out there on VJ who know Hindi too, please answer to help!

(PS If no one else comes forward to help, my hubby works with some Hindi people, he works tomorrow Sunday 1PM till 10PM I could ask him to take a letter in English for his co-workers to write in Hindi, let me know by tomorrow noon OK, if no one else can do it you can send the English letter to my PM.)

Hi.. still not a word..

dont have anyother numbers. even tried to look up land line on like a phonebook.. not sure.. . not sure how it will be .. I saw listing for Gujurat telecom phone search.. can find name.. but it is not the address.. not sure.. but I did however find some that are in his society.. possible to try and call that? but then I dont speak Hindi. so .. im up to the possiblility of express mail.

Nothing that i knew of happened. weather wise. I read daily Indiatimes and NDTV website.

I know that .. a few here had their interviews on the 12th in Delhi... he should have arrived in Delhi on the 11th.. via train.. .

I even entered his passport information on the VFS site.. looked up the day of the interview about passport pickup . .. next day it only said passport was not sent to vfs..

dont know if that means he was waiting in person for passport .. if he was granted teh visa. or that he didnt get the visa.. or even if it is posted online for the b-1b2 visa.?

All I know.. is there is no word... .. .. I try to be positive.. ..

OMG, I know exactly how you feel, this is the hardest part about being apart, when you cannot contact each other and you are thinking the worst... My hubs doesnt have a mobile yet(I am helping him get one) but a couple of days when he was unable to chat or email i checked the Nepal news sites and there was a general strike, or there are frequent power cuts there - maybe similar situation in your guy's area?

My hubby didnt email or IM yesterday and I was worried, chatted with him this morning and it turned out his younger sister had seizures yesterday, almost could not breathe, spent the night at the hospital... I think she has epilepsy since the same thing happened to her when we were eating at a restaurant in Boudha, but hubs family says she is possessed by a Naga at this time. G said the doctor said she had heart problems which does not make sense to me - looked like epileptic seizures... Does anyone know a heart problem which causes seizures, especially in a young girl(18)? Anyway we are both very worried about her and would appreciate your prayers... I will pray that Janak contacts you soon, or you are able to contact him.

My hubby said the people he works with could translate a letter from English into Hindi, he just went to work now and took the letter. Hopefully they will get it done so I can scan it & send it to Janet when he gets home about 7:30 PST. Is your roommate home now? If he can translate it now that might be better. Send a PM to her if you want. Janak not contacting her for 2 whole weeks doesn't sound right!

My finacee is in Delhi, If you can PM me your letter I will have translated to Hindi and send it by local snail mail ASAP if you have no other information. Your VISA time line shows Mumbai Consulate, but why did he go to Delhi for B-1/B-2 Visa ? If he is from Gujarat then he should be going to Mumbai not Delhi and it is not advisable to file any other VISA when you are planing for K-1, is that your K-1 filed yet?

My fiance is in Gujarat right now. I know how to write in Gujarati too. Do you have a home phone #? PM his cell and home number, maybe my fiance can get in touch with him. I can write a letter and scan it for ya, do I address it from you??? just let me know. hopefully he is safe and maybe its just the heavy rains or bad mobile connections keeping you away from him. Things will be okay

Just logged back on and glad to see some Hindi speakers are helping out. I spoke w/my roommate but wont be seeing her until tomorrow night - she just called to say she is spending the night at her parents' house. Hopefully you guys will be in contact before then...

Anyway, my hubby just returned from work with the letter Janet sent me via PM, translated into Hindi. I scanned it and just sent her by email. Hope she is around to send it off to India now.

I agree.. I know Delhi is a much bigger city .. and therefore part of the concern for no contact... He knows that if he cannot get the phone to work.. he will ALWAYS find a pc to get word to me..

There has been many times even when he was out at a site in country that he even went and borrowed the pc from the man at the petrol station just so he could tell me he was running late.. .. sooo this long makes no sense at all.

As far as why he did Delhi.. not too many people here understand the reasons why we have not filed for K1.. and actually wont be.. we are hoping to get married when he connects in Canada.. and file a K3. ... long story dont wish to bore unnecessarily .

But due to the fact that he is fluent in English.. he is given a option to have his interview in either Mumbai or Delhi... and Delhi was the fastest to get a date for interview.

Keeping my prayers going... and keeping positive..
