Alien Registration Number

Hi all,

My fiance and I are filling out all the forms for AOS. On the G325A forms, it asks for the Alien Registation number. Can someone please tell me where we would find this number?

The A-number will be on the visa - begins with "A"... also on the NOA2 (approval notice) under the beneficiary's name section and other various documents received after the approval...

Should look something like: Axxx xxx xxx

In most cases (ours and yours too probably) the A # and file number are the same thing. If you remember, when you filed the petition (way back when), both of you completed this very same form - at that time the USC would have entered 'none' for both File number and A# (presumably) and the beneficiary may have also if he/she had never had an A# assigned previously..

I am filling out the G325A also to send in for AOS, Just to clarify, are the Alien Registration Number and the File number that begins with A the same thing?
