what's touch mean?

Hi everyone,

Im sorry, I know this is a beginner's question, but what does "touched" mean and how do I know if my case has been "touched"? It's been 140 days since we've received our NAO1 and Im getting really worried. I havent seen it taking this long for anyone else. I know it's a long time and horrible wait for everyone, but most seem to take around 120 days. I dont know what's going on and I cant call till it's been six months. When I check our status online, it always says, received and pending. Where do I go to see this touched thing? And is there anyway to talk to someone besides a customer service representative at USCIS? THanks everyone! And best of luck to you all. ---Amye

"touched" doesn't mean a lot in fact some people get "touched" a lot other never get "touched" before their approval

THE MYSTERY OF THE "TOUCH"

touch can mean you have call and they have look at your case to know where they are with it, it can mean it has been move from the waiting pile to a pile on a desk , from a desk to another desk, and finally the last one (I readed here and it has make me laugh sorry) you can be touch by a cup of coffee, the ghost from USCIS wich is the only one to move and work there....

Now you can call USCIS you don't have to wait 6 month, but not sure they will give you a lot of info, some of us had info like your case has been given to someone witch means you are going to have an answer in the next week;

I f i were you I would try the phone call, you have nothing to loose

Thanks, now when I call them, do I just call the normal 800 number? And talk to a customer service representative? I was under the impression they only new what I saw when I checked my status online.
