does anyone know how long it takes to get the interview? Its been 2 weeks now and nothing and probably won't get an answer till next Friday (as they only post interview approvals once a week on Friday) making it 3 weeks.

My concern is the embassy website is showing appointments for November. I requested an appointment in during the first week of October. Does this mean that I will most likely get the interview in Nov??? That means this whole process will have taken more than 240 days to complete which from every source I can find is outrageous.

any insight would be appreciated.

My Timeline:

2/27/2007 sent I-129f

5/??/2007 USCIS needed additional info

7/23/2007 I-129f approved

8/3/2007 NVC approves application

8/27/2007 NVC sends approval notice to Seoul embassy

9/6/2007 Seoul embassy finally receives application/filed for interview

9/21/2007 worried about interview

10/13/2007 K-1 approved.

10/20/2007 Arrived in Ameriva

10/29/2007 Filed for marriage certificate

11/24/2007 Filed for AOS I-485 and AP

12/18/2007 Received RFE (overpaid, had to resend check)

1/24/2008 USCIS resumed application process/biometrics appt received

2/04/2008 Biometrics appt

4/??/2008 AP approved and received

9/??/2008 AOS interview schedule received

10/22/2008 AOS interview

11/3/2008 RFE received and returned

It varies by embassy and consulate. In Jakarta, you can get an interview as soon as the next day after turning in your documents. Most countries have a waiting period of 2-4 months for the interview. Some are long, like Montreal, which takes about 6 months.

If you click on the embassy info page, it will give you an idea how long it takes to get an interview in the country you are petitioning through.

It looks like you had an RFE, which definetly would have delayed your processing time. Most February filers were approved in May.

yeah, I got flagged because the UCSIS didn't believe that I was a US citizen (since 1976 baby!) So I had to re-send my passport to them.
