Hi all,

My daughter and I will be going for a medical soon, and I wanted to ask a quick question! It says on the Packet 3 info that a chaperone can be provided for her when she has the exam, but I'd prefer to be the one that goes in with her - is that possible? As she's only 3 I don't want her getting freaked out, and I'm not sure I like the idea of her being examined without me being there...

I would certainly hope you're allowed to be there. The easiest way to find out for sure is to call the doctor's office and ask. They were really helpful when I asked questions about vaccinations and what to bring to the medical. :)

24 Feb 2007 - Sent I-130 to London USCIS office (I'm the petitioner)

25 May 2007 - NOA2

2 June 2007 - Received Packet 3

12 Oct 2007 - Sent Packet 3 back by special delivery

5 Nov 2007 - Interview in London - Approved without any hitches!

7 Nov 2007 - Visa and MBE arrived by SMS! :)

30 Jan 2008 - Fly to Michigan!! :)

*Note: Any delays in our case are only due to us taking things slowly

I had a medical with my daughter who was 4 at the time, yes i was allowed to go in with her. It is really easy for them, takes minutes.

September 15 - 2005: NOA1

October: Waiting

November: Waiting

December: In Security checks

January 2006: Waiting

February: Waiting..Contacted Congress

March 4th: APPROVED

March 17th: NVC posted file to London

March 20th: London Receives file

March 29th: Receive package 3

April 13th: London Receives package

April 19th: Medical - June 13th: INTERVIEW......APPROVED!!!!

June 20th: ARRIVE IN USA

Time taken for whole process 9 Months

AOS

October: 13th: Sent off AOS Package

November 3rd: NOA1

November 14th: Snail mail ~ NOA1 ~ Case moved to the CSC for faster processing.

November 14th : CSC has petition for me and my daughter.

December 14th: Biometrics completed.

January 17th: APPROVED AOS!

January 22nd: Green card arrives in the mail:))

Time taken for AOS - 3.5 Months

Finished for 2 years.

Yeah I wondered that too wen I read the letter as my youngest is only 4 and she wouldnt have been happy goin in without me, but you do stay with your child during the exam.

Plus the doc we had was really nice and she made the kids feel at ease with it all.

It all painless and over in a few minutes.

Ur daughter will love the flavoured sticks they get, mine did and they kept them quiet for a good while after too lol well worth the £100 each for medical lol

08/13/2007 - London recieves petition and sends out Packet 3

08/16/2007 - recieved and sent back packet 3

09/06/2007 - medical!!

09/12/2007 - INTERVIEW

09/18/2007 - Additional papers collected by courier

09/26/2007 - Visas delivered by courier!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!
